Happened to me in California 4 years ago. By this time you have to have friends who are older than 21. Just have them buy you a log at a time and keep the unopened ones in the freezer till you need them.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
sure. But that's part of my point. All larger city's will have a more people and more weath, that rarely means more shared wealth.

Billings is definitely an oil town. Bozeman is not, its rich from just rich people wanting to live there/ski town due to Big Sky not just the Basin.

    Yes it is.

It is for out here haha and growing up around here you should know that. I grew up south of Billing in Wyo, and it was definitely the "city".

Drugs have been a problem out here for a long long time. Nothing new there. Wyo used to be the meth capitol of the county.

Far as im concerned, billings has gotten much much much better in the last 10 years. It is started to have some nice cultured spots to it. Decent music scene and food. Before it was just a shit oil slob town.

But still, my point is to look in much smaller towns to live. But the irony is that most complaining about the cost of living in a bigger metro area enjoy the things that go with it too much to give up those things.

Eh thats a little narrow minded way of thinking about the subject. Not always that ways. San Fran is a problem not because of "liberal polices" but because of capitalistic gains.

San Fran was a huge culture pot and artist haven. Then the Tech companies moved to the outskirts. Made a few billion, hired people to work for them. They didn't want to live in Silicon Valley, they wanted to live where the art and culture was, San Fran. So they moved there. They'd pay anything to live there because they could.

Bam. Housing crisis. Drove locals out and artists out due to people taking advantage of all the tech people wanting to live there and pay out the ass to do so.

Little did they know they were driving out what my San Fran so special in the first place.

And exactly what I was saying earlier. You think Wyoming is too "dead" to live there because you have a standard of a certain way of living. When really, there are plenty of great places to live in Wy/Mt/ID with under 5k people in the "town" or less.

Though having grown up in Wyo, thermop would not be on my list of places to reside.

God forbid we work together as a country to stop people from starting a terrible life threatening addicting habit

I hope you try you damnedest to quit that shit btw.

    Still in planning phase ...
Left Bozeman few months ago, not only was it getting to costly, but I wanted to be a bit closer to work and did not want to live in Billings. There are PLENTY of small towns within a 45 min. drive of Billings were you can make the trip easily enough and not have to live in the city itself.

I wish there were more people than @M1Awolf and myself that wanted to wheel in GF without traveling half the state haha

Agreed,we might be able to get @MT_TACO16 to go this summer when he is done with school in Butte. I met him a couple weeks back when he brought his truck in for an alignment.

ETA I also wish I had more free time in the summer,we never made it out this past summer..:(

I know. Was a pretty quiet summer for me. I did hit Moab in August though. It was hot as hell out there. That trip was amazing. I hope to have the 4runner "done" by then.

I'd be down whenever it warms up enough for me to finish my CMC and get all the stuff in my parts pile installed. No fun cutting and welding in an unheated garage and the undercoating takes forever to dry in this weather.

Anybody else heading to Total Archery Challenge in July? Didn't get to go last year, but I was able to get a spot for this year.

I know what you mean. I installed my archive hammer hangers last winter in my garage without heat and that was miserable. I ended up buying a dewalt cordless forces air propane heater from home depot. Now it's not so bad. I can get the garage in the 60s during the dead of winter
