Interesting. Were you both running P rated Falkens? The tread compound from a P rated to the E-Rated LT tires is different. Also different tread depth.

LOL I've heard the street gutters in Butte (particularly around St. Patty's) flow with beer and urine.

It's an old Irish mining town. Of course there are bars all over. I mean, just makes sense for goodness sakes.

They were C Load Rated, but were the LT tire. the size was 31x10.50R15LT. Not sure what tread compound they use in their LT C-load tires but they defiantly werent P rated. as to my buddy's truck, I'm not sure. he got rid of the tires shortly after purchasing the truck (first thing he changed i think, went from 33s to 35s:cool:) so i'd doubt he remembers.

Curious to all of you who have run the Ko2s and/or the General Grabber A/Tx or A/T2. I was looking at going with a set of Generals and waiting till memorial day.. but i looked on 4WP's website today and they have a sale that basically means the KO2s are the same price as the Generals (the Generals are about $25 cheaper per tire but the BFGs are $100 off for a set of 4). they also have discounts on the wheels but they don't have free mounting and balancing like Discount Tire Direct does so it all evens out to be roughly the same price. Thoughts? i'm very tempted to go with the KO2 since it is generally a very well regarded tire and if it's the same price...why not?:notsure:

If you go with K02's make sure you rotate them every 3k because they will cup fast if you don't.

ok, I have heard the same thing about the generals and Falkens too. i think it's just a trade off of that kind of tread pattern. i didn't put enough miles on my falkens to really start seeing that, but given the chunking that i was seeing at only 5k miles i wouldn't be surprised.

I never had an issue with cupping on my AT2's. Too soon to say on the ATX's. I've driven work trucks with KO2's, but never really put that tire thru the paces like the generals. They seemed to be similar in performance.

thanks everyone for the advice! i ended up going with the KO2s. 4WP was having a sale on both those and the wheels went with so they ended up being cheaper than the grabbers.

If anyone has any leads on a decent used full size let me know. Nothing super special. Just towing a horse and hay. Long as it's reliable to drive to maine and back Im good. Won't get any other use age besides work stuff.

Would love a gen 2 or 3 cummins but can't find anything thats not a POS or too expensive.

FYI- If anyone is still looking for or needing masks or hand sanitizer, Scheels is the place. IF you're near one.

    lol Yeah, they meant well.

At least they have stuff though. This is the first physical store I've seen to offer masks without going to Amazon or Etsy, not that I've actively looked either though. I didn't read the sanitizer to see where its sourced from (we have some and don't need to hoard) but clearly they have an in somewhere.
