the spot where it Y's and to the right is a bit steep with some rutted out holes that can be tricky to get up. And Left is a "bypass" basically for it?

Cause yea those rocks can be a bit big and in the way. Never had to move one though, just drove over or around them.

Going over was possible but there was risk of dropping on top of it. Bye bye transfer case if that happened. I do not know the strength of the skid on the FJ though - better to avoid that test!!! We’ve been off-roading for decades - but rarely so not experts.

Anybody want a stock front and rear bumper from a 2015? Free if you want them, just have to come get them. Otherwise I’ll be trashing them in a couple days.

Awesome, thank you very much for the write ups and detailed reply. That's definitely helpful to know about the switchbacks, I drove Black Bear in the fall and definitely wasn't using the best technique on the switchbacks, so I'll have to find something comparable and keep that in mind before Morrison opens. Looks like a fun trails, but definitely would like to have another vehicle along too.

Goose looks magical driving that high up on the tundra. Not too many options to do that in California and there's perpetually idiots driving off road and getting stuff closed so I'll respectfully enjoy it.

You get out on trips with turbodb right? Truck looks familiar from his reports

yeah I do. In fact I basically was the dude that took him on his first big trip and showed him half the ropes :p haha He's a great friend and I go on a few trips a year with him. Was supposed to be in Moab with him last weekend actually but my truck was not in shape yet, still haven't put it together yet ha

His first major trip was the De Tour which I planned and all that. We were supposed to do Goose actually but got snowed out. He came back later though and ran it. Twice in one trip actually as it snowed on us as we went in so we drove in and out and then went back later in the week to camp there.

It's a good idea to have another vehicle for sure on Morrison. I've never done it down, but always wanted too.

And a THREE walled CVT annex. this fits the current Pioneer/Bachelor/Standard fly. This was an option ages ago with the 1st gen models of the CVT tents. Works great if you're either setting up over the tailgate/hatch or just want a place to hang out safe from the rain. No floor, three walls with dual canvas and screened zippered panels.

Hmm, I wonder if this would play nicely with my Rhinorack Sunseeker awning... I've always wanted a little annex room. I'll do some research. I'm in Bozeman.

    Also in Bozeman...
But I don't think it would work. There's a flexible rubber edge on the annex that fits into a metal channel on the CVT tents to marry the two up.

I am an official tuner for the KDMax 6.0 tune. I had a request come in from Billings about getting a tune. I am in Spokane and Billings is a Loooooooooong way from Spokane. I could do a group tune in Missoula/Butte some weekend. It would be great to have at least 5-10 people there. And if someone is interested in tuning for the KDMax in Montana the spot is wide open. Someone from Bozeman might be ideal since it is sort of centralish. I could help someone get setup to do that. Please PM me or reply on this thread if you are interested. I am half Montanan (my mom was born and raised in Anaconda) hold the Anaconda jokes unless they are really good. My uncle was Principle of Anaconda high for 30+ years. Lived in Great Falls for about 5 years growing up and spent summers fishing and hiking around western Montana. So I have some Montana cred. LOL!

    Thanks!

Well. I did it. I sold out.

Yes. I bought a Silverado Trail Boss. Just waiting for GM to ship the damn thing to the dealer so I can pick it up.

The Tacoma is now For Sale if anyone knows anyone who wants it. LOL
