    Thanks, Effen!

I posed my question as open ended as possible because I don’t have any dates or regions locked in. If there was an event going on I was thinking about planning the remainder of my trip around that. Just curious if there was anything in the works or if there are annual events that typically happen in the summer months, I know it’s really early so NBD if nothing yet.

yeah... we're not much of a meet and greet sorta crowd. planned a few a long time ago and while it was a blast the logistics of getting folks to drive a few hundred miles for a camping trip just wasn't the best. too few and too far between...
but if you want any suggestions of cool places to see in pretty much any corner of the state, I'm your girl. Or if you're in the Bozeman area and want to grab a bite to eat or a beer let me know.

I think we need some competition between Bozeman and Missoula! Right now Missoula is in the lead. How about a discount depending on who gets the most signups?

Oh yeah driving around here is quite the adventure these days! It is getting worse with all of the new people moving in as well. :annoyed:

last weekend i was southbound on montana just north of custer, in the inside lane. some dude in a civic/corolla/sedan something pulls out of the cenex and veers from the outside lane to my lane and cuts me off so i was already standing on the brake trying to avoid him. THEN he puts on his left turn signal and stops dead. in the southbound lane. with a green light. the left turn lane was full, there was already another dude pulled forward, trying to cheat the light before it turned red, and now this jackass is blocking the southbound lane with me and my camper bearing down on his ass. i was standing on the brake and laying on the horn. light turns red and dude takes his sweet time making his illegal turn. somehow the people behind me didn't rear end me. if they had i would have done everything in my power to chase the dude down.

and last time i was up there i was trying to get into the quilt shop on lyndale. i dont fit in their tiny parking lot so i usually go to the end of the block, pull around back in the alley to park. i was coming in east bound and had my turn signal on. there was a guy stopped on the side street trying to make a left onto lyndale. couple cars were west bound, i waited for them and made my left turn past the dude and into the alley. he had his window down and was screaming all kinds of things at me. i stopped and parked but kept the ignition on just in case he came after me and i needed to GTFO. i guess he thought i was supposed to wait for him even though i was on the street and he was at a cross street with a stop sign?
    upload_2021-10-20_19-32-28.jpg
and watched someone wing not one but two bicyclists at the cedar/washington intersection south of costco earlier this summer. i stopped and made sure the bicyclists were ok. lady was trying to go right on red and must have been driving with two feet because the car kept jerking forward and she ended up tapping the front tire of the 1st cyclist and the rear of the 2nd

Yeah that does not surprise me at all!!!! That Montana/Custer intersection is always nuts and I try and avoid it like the plague if I can but everything around there is just stupid.

I was lucky enough to work from home with all of this going on so I do not miss driving in that. Its the same way up by the capital on a weekday morning but I so do not have to mess with that thank goodness.

Bozeman on 19th can be interesting at times or has been in my experiences..... Sigh just too many people these days

    Hello everyone!

It's been a long process but almost 2 years from making the decision, I am officially a Kalispell MT resident. I start my new job on Monday.

I'm actively looking for an apartment or even a room in an apartment/house if any local Kalispell members can help.

Living in a hotel until (yes it's expensive).

Accepting and starting my job was not ideal timing for finding a residence, but I can manage it.

Yeah good luck. It's a nightmare. Hope you're getting paid extremely well to afford housing up that way.

Outside of Big Sky and Bozeman you might have chosen the most expensive and hard to get into market in MT, good luck.

Crazy that kalispell is so expensive. Never would’ve imagined that. Is it spill over from people wanting to live near whitefish?
