I’m up here now and I’ve only seen 2 law enforcement and plenty of people on the trail

only bad news is that we came up in the wife’s traverse instead of the 4Runner so our exploring will be limited

sweet, did any of the LEOs give you guys any sideways glances or anything like that? Did you see them on the roads, or were they patrolling on the trail?

I went to sugarpine mountain saw no patrol officers the trail was pretty washed lots or rocks and ruts from the rain. Got some snow though at the top pretty good day honestly.

no actually no one even bothered with us and that was the main fire road there was just enough traffic on the trail to clear a lot of the snow on the main road

I'm good with that logic :D

I took my wife along, after about the first quarter mile of nagging she started to enjoy it!

There was a sheriff coming down, came face to face to on the way up.. We thought the fun was over ... Was going to backup and tuck in for him but he just flew right passed us... I was waiting for that window to come down but he kept going...

It was fairly busy, we stopped at doghouse junction, of course there was a DRT bag up there lol. I run into these guys everywhere I go.. We ended up caravaning back down..

    Was a good day..

Trails back to Holcomb are open if you go the right ways. Van Dusen canyon gate is still closed but that’s a boring trail to get back there anyways. Heading to the other side of the lake by Black Bluffs trails still had the gates closed as well, but that’s just winter season. I’m sure if you were up for it you could still ride from Bear all the way down to Arrowhead.
