those threads always amuse me when people complain that a skid plate or leaf springs arrived with little packaging, I mean c'mon lol.

If you paid to have something powder coated then I understand more, but then again I wouldn't waste money powder coating any kind of armor

Or you do what I do and balance your helmet precariously on top of a rock, and let gravity decide.

That kinda annoyed me when I saw it, but its stainless steel armor thats supposed to get used so it wont matter.
The worst was when they shipped my Dakar leaf springs bare with no cellophane, The shipping labels just stuck on it. It arrived with broken plastic silencing pads.

In the process of the pinch weld mod, would I be okay just cutting and bending over this bottom area or do I need to do more above it to clear my 33s off road? @eon_blue @desertjunkie760

Cut and bend that corner back, have an alignment shop give you 2.5 - 3° caster and you'll clear. Worked for me

Thank you very much. Think I’ll be okay enough for pilot without the alignment? I work tomorrow so that won’t happen until next week probably

Hard to say, it depends on your wheels spacing too. You can test it out by stuffing the suspension at home with your jack. For me it was when turning hard and stuffing the wheels, they'd rub the pinch weld hard until I got my caster pushed up

I think I have the same issue. Tested it the other day and full stuff at a tight turn got them stuck

Heads up Everyone, change of plans
In case you haven't heard there is a fire at Lytle Creek. Due to that we will not be off roading there, I don't know if the trails are closed but chances are they will be.

Thank you @whatstcp for the initial heads up
    [IMG]

Instead we are doing Pilot Rock Trail. For those of you that haven't been before the main road is doable in 2wd, but the off shoots vary in difficulty.
Meeting time is still 8am, at the staging are if that works for everyone?

Pilot Rock OHV Staging Area (2N33)
    Location: https://goo.gl/maps/YAbhQDokHkzn6sJ67
Little bit of info about the place: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/pilot-rock-truck-trail

Let me know if you're gonna make it or not
