Yea I'm down to help @schecter517 and whoever else maintain the info in the google doc, even if I'm not participating in the run. I think that makes more sense than just having Shecter edit the first post, don't want to put all the responsibility on him.

I don't think I'll participate in this weeks run, I have a lot of stuff to care of this weekend, unfortunately. If that changes, I'll put myself on the google doc :D

So far I think so, might convince my FJ buddy to come along but I don't know if he will.

Maybe do a 10am start time? Once we get to the end of Pilot Rock we'll be at the base of Arrowhead mountain, from that point there are a network of fire roads that go up into the town of Lake Arrowhead where a rather tasty brewery/restaurant is located...could be nice to do that afterward

I have the coords/location of the staging area where we can meet, I'll post them up in a bit

Will definitely be more runs out that way in the following months I'm sure, Pilot Rock is one of the more local trails to us so it's easier to make a 1/2 day trip out of. Coming home is about the same as coming home from Big Bear though if you follow it all the way up into Lake Arrowhead, since they're right by one another.

Ill be in death valley this weekend, enjoy Pilot Rock you guys!

The trail length really isnt more than 2 hours and thats with considerable stopping. Its a short, technical and windy drive. If you guys start at 10a you will most likely be at the arrowhead village or area of choice by 1p the latest. I really like that trail lol

Yea just bummed to be missing the inaugural of the Monthly Runs. I'll be around for other ones though.

I have to help my mom with some stuff, and I have plans in the afternoon at 2, and with the unpredictability of off-roading, I don't want to get caught up and not make it to my plans... So unfortunately I have to pass on this one, as much as I hate missing out lol.

Take a bunch of pics, and have a beer or two for me! I'll catch up on the next one!

Death Valley is a trip I want to do sometime in the future...I feel like right around now it's starting to get really hot out there though, no? Definitely a fall/winter trip for me but I haven't been out there yet. There's a big thread on TW about Death Valley offroading/camping and some of the photos in it are amazing, really want to check it out and take at least a few days.

Mojave Road is a must-do trip as well, I've done that twice now and you want to take at least 3 full days to run it. 150 miles of dirt and so much stuff to see along the way, historical and natural sites.

Death Valley is one of my favorites places for sure and that’s that I only really went to and camped at the ghost town of ballarat. Not sure which trail it is I did, but it was pretty much a loop that starts and ends right there in ballarat.
