yup, that was fun...watching an 80's Ford Ranger rip the bottom half of his radiator off on Lockwood and then having to take them into town to buy a replacement lol.

@eon_blue Better the radiator getting ripped apart then the truck rolling down the side of the hill.

On the very first post of this thread there's a Google doc with a couple runs outlined on it, anybody can contribute to it or edit it.

True...was just unfortunate that they strapped it around the radiator core support but I remember being amazed that their truck didn't have any recovery points on the front.

I actually came across a stuck Dodge Ram up in Big Bear a few months ago and it was the same deal...no hooks or anything in the front to strap to. The guy looped my strap around his lower control arm and told me to pull him that way, I reluctantly agreed only because he was totally fine with it and it was his doing. It worked but luckily he only needed a small tug.

Off of the Lockwood Canyon Trail where that clearing is, where the guys installed the new radiator? I think it's called Yellowjacket Trail or something like that, from what I've heard it dead ends not far from where it starts but there must be something to it if it has it's own trail marker.

    Check My Sig.
I got 3 hours with traffic but I would definitely make an overnight out of it.

No the small short rocky portion at the start of the trail.
