What I found was if you flip the castle nut over and thread it back on then pop loose that LBJ (or outer tie), its not going to go flying. Standard practice now

Maple springs is open but lotsa traffic up there. North entrance road to Santiago peak is closed indefinitely till the park service pulls their head out of their ass..

Yea we ran it Saturday AM... we had a great time... Dusty and Dry... most of the climb up Miller is it talcum powder.... My buddy in his grand Cherokee exploded his front axle so we had to drag him up half of miller. with 2wd...

As far as water flow creek was pretty dry already... Little water at the start and then the few crossing at the bottom of Miller. Trail seemed to be a little more mellow to me than that last time I ran it in some sections and then worse in others. Looking back at photos from 2008 and 2010 is crazy how much it's changed in 11 years lol damn I'm getting old... :anonymous:

Was pretty impressed with Tacoma. No locker no problem. Had to adjust my line a few times to get it but never got stuck....

Yup that looks like the Miller Jeep Trail I remember haha. I recognize each spot in those photos, looks like it's about the same as it's been the past few years. Thanks for the update!

Sucks about your friends front axle but that's good you guys were able to pull him up regardless.

are skids required? or can the line be chosen without hitting them hard?

As I remember it there are multiple lines to any one obstacle, some easier than others. With careful spotting I think you should be okay. Probably gonna beat up the stock skid a bit. If you didn't have sliders I'd be more worried.

Looks like 5 of us signed up so far on the Google Doc on the first page...maybe one or 2 others that haven't signed up yet. Trying to keep it capped at 8 so we don't clog up the trail too bad, if we have to split into separate groups we can. Let me know!

As soon as I find out I’ll shoot you a text. I’m stupid and don’t know how to add myself to that google docs sorcery voodoo thingy

haha if you open the document you should be able to just type in your name if you click on an empty spot. If you're on your phone, you might have to double tap the empty spot to bring up the editing format. At least that's how it works on my Android
But ya you can just shoot me a text and I'll add you
