Living that Dana 30 with a V8 Lifestyle is dangerous lol...

I mean, I'm sure its doable. My truck isn't that tall maybe 3 inch lift in front and icon add a leaf on 285/75/16.... Sliders I would say are a must. I don't wanna tell you how to live your life.

It’s definiteky doable without skids. I’ve gone with others that didn’t have skids and made it up fine. Just gotta be careful and choose your lines carefully and have helpful spotters to help you watch out for stuff

Gonna be a hot one this weekend, 90 degrees in Frazier Park which is the town we start in (just outside of). Might cool down some with the elevation we gain but for the most part, Lockwood Creek and MJT are out in the open with little shade along the way. That camp spot where Lockwood ends and MJT begins will be a good spot to stop for lunch and cool down since there's a lot of trees there.

The Lockwood portion is probably 2x longer than MJT is so it'll be maybe 2 - 2.5 hrs to get to that point with the group, then another 1.5 hrs or so to finish MJT. From MJT it's a 30 - 45 min fire road drive down the mountain back into Gorman.

With breaks and everything I think we're looking at a good 5 - 6 hour trail run, more or less depending on how things go with spotting and beer breaks, photos/videos, etc.

I can handle weird. I guess we're good to go then!
Should we plan to meet at 9 am? and then air down, and try to get going by 930?

Yeah if we meet at that Arco in Frazier Park we can cruise to the staging area which is maybe a 20 min drive from the gas station. So realistically if we all meet at 9am and allow for some time to fill up, grab supplies and maybe wait a bit for others, we'd probably be looking at starting the trail around 10am more likely.

Won't want to air down until we get to the staging area since the 20 min drive from the gas station is all pavement. The trail to the staging area can be easy to miss off the road so I thinking meeting at the Arco is the best bet. There's a Chevron right next to it in case anyone doesn't want to fill up at Arco

oh for sure, I just checked the location of the Arco, I was thinking that Arco was closer to the trailhead. yea, that sounds like a better plan.

Yeah that area right off the 5 is the only spot with gas and supplies really, once we get out of there and head toward the forest area it starts to get pretty remote.

I am camping Friday night, not sure where I will be after the Gorman Noob Fest. Might head to a campsite closer to home for Saturday night

Depending on what others are doing I might do that too then, camp at Gorman Friday night then meet the others for the MJT run on Sat morning. I'll know better in the next few days
