@eon_blue I wouldn't run lower larga in the snow, but when it's dry you can handle it. Being a stick will make for an interesting challenge on the climb in as it's steep-ish and technical. There are some other rock gardens and such that make for a great challenge, but definitely not impassible.

Two pictures I have from the trail: first is the climb into the trail, second is one of the rock gardens.

The first weekend of May is Cinco-de-Drinko. :drunk:
The weekend of the 12th is mothers day, so I'm out.
That leaves the 18th and the 25th.

That works for my schedule and gives me a few weekends to knock down my "prep list."

    Sorry @schecter517 :threadjacked:

Back to your BB trip plans.

OK so who on the list is still down for the original plan? Looks like there are a few of you who want to do a different day. Which is totally fine, just want to make sure we have a set group and plan.

Once I know who is still in I can edit the list and see what spots we have left if any.

I think they still want to do the same day, but they might want to do different/harder trails and still everyone meet up? Im still down for the OG plan though, I think that we should have at least one person who has run the trail before for each group though.

I'm still in for the original day and plan. May 11, running Holcomb Valley Trail from Green Valley Lake to White Mountain Trail.

I don't think Holcomb Valley trail was apart of the original plan though? I think we have a couple of stock trucks on the list already and im pretty sure that trail is too gnarly for them to get through.

Holcomb Valley isn't gnarly. I was just there last weekend. Stock trucks can make it thru no problem. White Mtn might be the only challenging part but I believe there are spots to turn off back to 3N16.

Defiantly down to meet up with whoever heads up there that day. Even if they're not with us. Always cool to meet new people.

Holcomb Creek is the really gnarly one. Holcomb Valley is pretty much a fire road. White Mountain is generally pretty easy, with some moderate sections, to my understanding, A stock truck with AT tires shouldn't have any problems.

So my plan was to start on 3N16 (Holcomb Valley) and take that till we hit the 3N56 connector to 3N17 (White Mtn) I've never done 3N56 or 3N17 so I'm assuming we can go up from there? Or do we need to start on the north side and start at 3N17 and work our way down?

Either way is fine with me I just want to make sure we have a solid starting point. Actually the more I think about it, it kind of makes sense to start on 3N17 and work our way towards the lake.

I am in for the original day, might be in for a second depending on what everybody’s plan is.

I think this run in general is just a day run up White Mountain then some kind of shindig afterward, my plan is to camp (maybe wherever we end up doing the lunch/bbq after the trail) and possibly do another trail that night or one the next day.
