Im ready to go as soon as i get my front axle seal fixed. Hopefully by the end of this week.

 

I think my truck will survive.... . Just gotta be nice to it and not do something stupid...

I've done it before and it did kinda sucked. I had the AC blasting, but believe it or not, it was still actually uncomfortable at the same time.

Anyways, yeah it stays pretty warm late into the evening.

 

I've been conditioned (pun intended) to not use my AC on trails unless I really need to...when I got my truck it had electric cooling fans installed by the PO and anytime I ran the AC while in 4wd it would almost immediately start to overheat the truck. Nearly did overheat it to the point of no return 2 weeks after I bought the thing, was too close of a call.

Since putting a fan clutch back on it hasn't done that at all but for some reason it's always in the back of my mind if I run the AC when wheeling..

Stupid e-fans...don't anyone think of installing those unless you're building a race truck

 

Last owner had one in my truck. Shit just about blew a head gasket from that stupid thing. I'll take the 10hp loss

 

Yeah I see threads and posts on here from time to time where someone is convinced that they need E-fans and I try and dissuade them...I've never heard of it working out well for an offroad truck unless maybe it's a racing truck that does high speed stuff. They just don't cool as well as the mechanical fans do.

 

I've only seen one guy do it right. Took a Mercedes brushless E-fan. Designed a whole controller to run at different duty cycles for how hot the coolant is. He said he mostly only needed to run it at 20% which is a 3 amp pull.
