ouch, was the fan clutch not working? Radiators aren't too expensive, at least ours aren't

I snapped a bolt off in my spindle when doing mine, sucked hard. Had to take the whole thing apart again to get the broken half out and ruined the boot on the new LBJ in the process, had to buy another one. Turned into an expensive DIY job

Car was heating up when idling, A/C not working well unless @ speed, etc...

Fan clutch was supposed to be an easy, inexpensive project to see if it helped any.

Ah yeah AC...another thing on my list. Mine sucks but I think it just needs to be recharged. At worst I might need a new compressor I dunno. Until then I just suffer with the windows down lol.

I got a little bit done on Saturday. Swapped two CVs on @YumaTRD new T4R using my new puller. Was pretty happy with how it worked out. Still takes effort but nothing compared to the pry bar method.

Also put new shocks on the front of my truck and trying out a new valving combo. Lost a little lift but I now have a little down travel at ride height so it's worth it.

Mine sort of sounds like Darth Vader breathing when it's on 'low'. Gets ice cold if the temp outside is under 90...if it's in the 90s or 100s though it just blows warm air

I don't trust myself to work on the AC system though and I hear bad things about those auto store AC recharging cans damaging the system, so I'll probably just take it to a shop soon.

crap that reminds me, my friend Neco with the FJ asked me last week to see if you still wanted his help doing some work on your truck...he got a new phone recently and lost your number. We're you guys able to connect for that or am I thinking of someone else that wanted to work with him?

Yeah i was wondering what happened to him he texted me back pretty quick and then never heard from him again.

I got one of two problems worked out but definitely could use his help on the other. Is his number still the same? If so i can just text him again

I just texted him to see if it is, if I don't hear back I'll assume he had to get a new phone number lol. But I'll see him tonight at our hockey game so I can get it from him then if that's the case

Decided to do maple springs last night instead of tonight and had dinner up there with my girlfriend. Fun little outing for a quick trip to the dirt!

Maple Springs is in Santiago Canyon. Its like 35 mins from my house and like 20 from my work so whenever the gate is open its a good little get away.

The trail is super easy, I have been going up there since i was in high school just learning how to offroad. Definitely easy enough for a 2wd, the road is pretty well maintained. There used to be two 'play areas' but now there is only one near the main divide. They are just super easy little obstacles. Its worth the trip for me just to grab some peace and quiet and hit some dirt.
