Doing alright. Weighted 164 yesterday. Began at 186. Just couldn't seem to break the 166/165 barrier for a couple weeks, but alas! Rach was looking at old pics yesterday and talking about the difference. I'll have to get some pics up in here.

Still kinda got the gut thing going on a little but still working on it. Gonna try some leg lifts that the wife showed me for a few weeks and see if that helps with the middle section.

Folks are noticing the difference. I have ZERO pants that fit anymore. Everything I have literally falls right off, my belt about wraps around me twice. Underwear are baggy. I needs to hit a clothing store. God I'm cheap.

Keep at it Aaron! Rach and I have been doing this several months now, we haven't hit the excercise hardcore, so it's been a little slower but we're still losing weight.

one thing i found that really helps,

Pound a good size glass of water as soon as you wake up in the morning and right before you fall asleep.

The water kickstarts your metabilism in the morning and at night it keeps it up during your sleeping periods.

To work on your abs, do this work out...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkKCVCZe474

While its only 8 minutes long, if you push yourself through it and keep the pace as shown you will feel like your abs are being torn but the way muscle if made is when you literally tear your current muscles and your body creates a chemical to fill the tears is the best way to look at it.

If you want to gain muscle really fast but hate waking up in the morning to "torn" muscles, there is a type of protein that you take that reduces recovery time.

I did the above workout 3 times a day while in highschool, took the protein and in 1 week i noticed the difference tremendously!

    Just keep at it :)

Awesome! Keep up the good work! Do some crunches and stuff also, that will help.

Yeah gotta agree, giving up soda was the best thing I did for myself. I used to go through a lot, but I was by no means fat, or even overweight. I ran track full time for my college which probably kept my weight in check most of the time.

I finished up track last year and quickly started packing on a few pounds. What I found that worked for me we switching from soda to sparkling water. I still got the carbonation, but none of the bad stuff. That alone helped me get back to what I used to be.

Next is to start training again, I've enjoyed my time off recovering from track (did some bad damage to my hamstring at the end of the season), but I need to start again.

    LOL!

I should post pics from a guy who hangs on Thumpertalk and lives in Nunavut and rides.

200 miles from anywhere... and "summer" lasts about 2 weeks ;)

There's a few people in this thread trying to pick at you. I'm really impressed you're not buying into it. Good luck on the weight loss, and keep it going! It's a difficult road but it will pay off. Once you loose the weight you will want the muscle...:D

I'm not picking at him biking is actually good for your health and it can be just as fun as taking your truck off road if you have any local bike trails

In all seriousness, I'm on my feet all day to begin with. Even the thought of having to bike home after a 10 hr shift makes me cringe.

Keep truck. Buy shitty CL bike.

Good job, op. hope you keep it up.

I skipped from end of page 1 to the last page, but based on what I read it looks as though you've gotten where you are mostly by diet.

I have found- in my experience- that diet really is crucial to maintaining a healthy weight.

Exercise is great, but as anyone on this site that knows me can attest to, I'm not a skinny guy. But I am in great shape. I can run 3 miles in 22 minutes, do about 70 push-ups in one set, 65 sit-ups, and about 12 pull-ups (the hard ones). And I still have a beer gut. Why? Because I have a terrible diet.

You're on the right path. At some point you will stop losing weight, as your average daily intake meets your avg. daily output. At that point, don't get frustrated lose focus, start jogging!

A little cardio goes a long way when combined with a diet.

    Keep it up dude!

    Goddamn I'm sexy!

I'm what...29 (holy fuck!). Went to the doctor recently, the 50ish year old receptionist could not believe I was 29. Thought I was more around 21.

I've always looked younger than my age, but losing the weight I'm getting even more compliments.

Feelin' great! Wearing "Large" shirts, bought some size 32 Old Navy pants (they are a size smaller than everyone else), some size 34 work pants.

Lost 30-40 pounds, got a good teeth cleaning, going to a TW meet this weekend...life is good.
