    Hey yall,

I have a 2017 TRD OR with a 2.5in lift, dirt king UCA's and 33's. Im at 160K and my original OEM LCA's have finally went so I am looking to replace them. I do light off-roading but not very often, so I don't need any crazy high end LCA's. I just purchased a set of Moog LCA (link below to the specific SKU's) and am wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on these for the 3rd gens...? I have a 2017 TRD OR with a 2.5in lift, dirt king UCA's and 33's. I thought about going OEM but they're pretty stupid expensive, and also considered rebuilding my OEM ones but thought it would be worth going with new Moogs instead of the hassle.

For anyone running them, did you need to get new OEM hardware for mounting?? (cam/caster)

What went wrong with your arms? The bushings and ball joints are replaceable and much cheaper. It would be cheaper to buy a shop press and all the bushings than to replace the arm with chinese junk. Moog has really gone downhill lately with quality.

Why would you pair a high quality aftermarket UCA like DirtKing with a Chinese junk LCA? It doesn't make any sense.

Funny timing and same truck, I’m getting some loud creaking that is either the lca or sway bar bushings, seems off for 68k.

I have fox pes, deavers and accutune uca’s, and called accutune to see if they had any upgrade to the oem LAX’s….they said that the oem are good and what they designed around.

I guess I’ll be looking to replace the lca bushings.

If there is a poly upgrade available, I would upgrade to poly.

Agreed that MOOG has been going downhill since they went international. Usually if a part that says MOOG all over it you're good to go, but if it's a random part that isn't branded then stay away.

So many places these trucks can creak from up front, I've gave up trying to help diagnose those issues online lol. But helix if your suspension is that beefed, you have no reason for a front sway bar anyway. :)

I just got through rebuilding my brother's lower control arms on his '07 Tacoma last weekend.
He ended up giving the "affordable" complete LCA assemblies a miss, and purchased new OEM bushings and ball joints.
He figured if the OEM products lasted 200k miles, why put anything else on.
The job is straight forward, especially if you have a press (which we do). A press makes installing the new ball joints a breeze.
Removing the bushings were straight forward as well...press them out, press in the new ones. The job is certainly doable without a press (bottle jack and vice will do the trick).

    Cheers
