More bad news for my family

    Been a tough week for the OTG family. Some of you know my dad passed away this week. Well, my sister had been trying to adopt a two year old boy. The mother was an alcoholic and heroin addict. At the last minute, after he had been living with my sister for about 6 months, the courts decided in the natural mothers favor. The boy has been with his mother for about two months. I called my sister yesterday to see how she was doing and she couldn't talk. Finally I got her to talk and the mother has beaten the child to death. This happened on the day of my fathers funeral.     Toddler dies, mother to be charged

    Criminal charges against a mother who was accused of severely injuring her toddler were upgraded to murder Friday when the 2-year-old child died at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence.

    Kim H. Peno, 38, of 19 Blanding Rd., will be arraigned on a murder charge Monday morning in Taunton District Court, according to Bristol County (Mass.) District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter.

    Sutter previously had charged Peno with assault with intent to murder the boy, Timothy, and assault and battery on a child resulting in serious bodily injury.

    Peno pleaded not guilty on Thursday before Judge Francis Marini, who ordered her held pending a medical examination on Monday.

    Rehoboth police arrested Peno after Joseph Peno, the child’s father, brought the boy to Seekonk Police and Fire Headquarters at 12:15 a.m. Thursday seeking medical assistance, Police Chief Stephen J. Enos said Thursday.

    I am sorry for your loss.

    The Judge and everyone that argued to have the Boy returned to the natural mother should also be prosecuted for accessory murder. :mad:

    You're reading it right Zack. My sister had been trying to adopt him, but the courts ruled in the natural mothers favor. My sister takes in children that have been removed from their homes by the state.

    I wonder if people like that feel remorse?

    But in all honesty its also the courts fault this happened to there should be some sort of punishment to those involved
