The instance I was referring to with the Explorer was something with the fuel tank. Guy ran a stop sign, t boned it and the fucker exploded. Woman and kid burned inside the vehicle.

I had an old Chevy pickup one time with the gas tank IN the cab. It was right behind the bench seat, and you could hear gas sloshing around when you drove, and smell gas fumes after a fill up. Luckily I was never in a wreck with it, because many of them had a tendency to explode in T-bone accidents. Todays trucks at far safer then those oldies that were involved in catastrophic wrecks and settled out of court by the "Big three" automakers of the time.

Their sales are in line with that they expect out of such a niche vehicle. They preferentially produce the MDX, Odyssey and Pilot in the same plant.

This is like comparing Tundra numbers to F-150. About 7x more sales each year.

I think the ones in the news were not about the old fashioned in cab tanks, but the side tanks that were between the frame and body.

Yes, they had a history of bomb like gas tanks.

I was unaware that most states didn't have Ridgelines until 2016.

Either way, I'm now starting to want one based on how bothered people are by their existence.

Get a Ridgeline to own the snowflakes (like me). Good plan with no downside.
