has anyone ever chipped out their tacoma on here ? if so what are some maybe pros and cons...i guess it depends on the brand too
just wondering if it's worth it if i ended up getting an intake/exhaust and getting a chip to get better flow etc.
i know i should have looked first on here but im not on here as much lately

    For the time being, URD.
Bullydog has one in final development... $600 or $700 IIRC.

The URD unit is the only one on the market that actually works, and it only works when the ECU is in open loop (full throttle).

oh ok ok nice cause the bullydog chip is really the only one i've heard of more then the rest. but still was iffy about it.

the URD i'll try looking up to see what benefits i'l be able to get out of it.

cause im assuming if i get the intake/exhaust and get the chip im hoping for better air flow and maybe get better fuel economy also with the chip ?
but yep i know...fuel economy....truck thats lifted....nope haha but i get about 500kms/tank on average which is not bad but of course i'd like more.....along with power :D

Don't expect better fuel economy. Again, the URD MAF Calibrator only comes into play at WOT, helps prevent the engine from going lean with the intake/exhaust mods.

Bullydog claims something like 20hp increase. I used their programmer on my '06 Duramax and it worked quite well. I was a bit turned off on the company after I got rid of the truck and tried to contact them to see if the unit could be "unmarried" so it could be used on a different truck (allowing me to sell it) and they never got back to me... email and phone calls were not returned.
