Wanting to upgrade my suspension. Currently have a OME full suspension package. 886 coils for the steel bumper and winch up front with the heavy duty Dakar leaf packs in the rear for the added weight of my high clearance wrap around bumper, rack, Rtt and gear. Both front and rear shocks are the OME nitro charger shocks. I read on the site all the time guys wanting to do suspension mods and it’s always “ it depends on what you want to do with the truck” I’m into crawling on sometimes the narrowest trails. What I’m after is maximum travel/articulation with out changing my track width that a long travel kit creates. And I believe is more for higher speed desert/Baja type off-roading. I been at this for several years now and realize these modifications can be really expensive. I know I need to change the front UCA for the 3” of lift I’m after to maintain alignment etc. and that the front cab chop and massaging the plastic up front is as key to the wheel tire clearance as lift. I also realize that on the 2nd gen Tacoma’s that the wrong type of lift can actually lessen wheel travel.
I’m no longer thinking 35s. I’m thinking of staying with the 33s I’m currently running and adding the front lockers. But as far as bump stops , the right coil and shock set up to achieve maium travel I’m stumped.
I see that total Chaos has stock length LCA that I think will provide the maximum travel with the uniball versus the OE LCA without increasing track width and in the rear they have the deaver leaf packs that are side specific to eliminate the lean and you can get the heavier version for all the added weight I’m always carrying off-road. My Dakar leaf set up is fine for the added weight but certainly do nothing to correct the lean and will they even work with a sevondary shock set up? I did the spacer up front on the drivers side coil to correct the lean. ( IT DIDNT waste of time )

It’s all the sencondary shock hoops front and rear, do I need spindle gussets, what shock length, which shocks to run and which to run in the secondary hoop, resivor or non that have me baffled.
I know about the resivor shocks benifits. Cooling, valving pluses, rebuildable etc. I’m not asking for a shock brand and know that the higher end shocks like fox, Kings, Icons, etc all are capapable and comes down to preference.

I’m in Colorado and would love to find a shop that knows Toyota’s as well as jeep suspensions.
I’m no expert for sure but after talking to some of the shops I’ve visited, sometimes feel like I know more about Toyota suspensions than who I’m talking with. By the way I have a 2015 Tacoma DCSB. I’m wanting to do these upgrades soon, I’m over the cost involved not that money is coming out my ass. Im just going to bite the bullet and finace what i cant pay for now that my truck is paid for. I’m not getting any younger. Thanks for listening and any advice.
