Interesting. It seems that the vast majority of Tacomas that I see are driven by men. Maybe it's actually their wife/gf's vehicle? It's good to see that the Tacoma appeals to people across demographic lines. I've always thought the Tacoma was a good all around vehicle, so it makes sense.

It's probably because this younger generation of "men" are mostly a bunch of pussies who can't even change the oil themselves and are always whining about some stupid shit with this truck. And these ladies, not wanting to deal with those crying man babies, figure it's easier to just do whatever themselves, so they get their own truck.

 

JD also says the chevy cruz was awarded the JD power award for "initial quality" whatever the hell that means haha

 

They probably aren't modding it or off roading it.

 

JD also said the 4th gen Tacoma will have front drum brakes. I don't trust that ole JD.

 

What woman say that they want and what woman actually want is usually never the same thing, imo.

But I think the Tacoma is the best mid size pickup out there, and trucks are popular in general, so good for Toyota- sell as many as you can.

 

I wonder how the numbers are calculated? My wife and I are both on the registration and title does that qualify her as a purchaser? Are females only counted as a buyer if they are on the loan? I'm curious how they determined these figures. Are they getting numbers from the DMV or from the dealerships. I don't doubt more women than ever are buying Tacomas but I wonder if the calculations are accurate. It's like presidential electoral poles. You just have to wonder how the numbers are being calculated and where exactly are they are getting this information. And how do they know what bank account the money is coming from.

I pulled into a gas station one day and there was a guy pumping fuel into a nice lifted Tacoma, his GF was sitting with the driver's door open and dangling her bare feet out. As I passed by I said "Nice Truck" to the guy, he said thanks but grumbled that it was her truck and his car was the Geo Metro sitting behind it, lol.

 

What's funny about this is my GF has no interest in driving my truck. I think I spoiled her by letting her drive my turbocharged VW Thing a year or so ago. That's the only one of my cars she ever shows any interest in.

 

Interesting.....I had a Jeep Wrangler before and noticed now it has become a mom vehicle....especially the JL 4 door.

 

Whenever I look at a white Tacoma, it’s usually a woman driving it.
