I got 550-600 with over 1/4 tank left and filled. Didnt come close to the 21 gallons. I would say 16? I will keep track next time, but the scanguage is consistently saying Im getting 26-29 mpg. I drive pretty easy though I will say. Today I did a 20 kms trip and got 29.2mpg, then had a longer 35-40 kms trip and got 27.8mpg.
I think when you get these little 2.7 truck here in Nova Scotia they run very easy. A friend of mine is getting 21-23 with his V6 as well. All US gal

Ya I would not trust the scangauge, do the math yourself and then see what it is. Also take into account tire size if you have gotten bigger tires

So thw math. 600 km equals 375 miles then divided by 16 gallons like you said, 23.4 mpg not 28...

just bought the truck a week ago. I am doing in by hand as well. By hand will always be a tad bit less because of the starting and stoping you would think, but Im still getting crazy mpg. Once I removed the secondary filter is when I started getting it

I still find it very hard to believe 29 with a 4x4 even without it being used. You said you dis the math freehand also, how did you get 29 using the same numbers you gave me and me getting 23.4?

How will by hand be less? You get x amount of mileage out of y amount of gallons?

I went from a poster on here who measured how many gallons were left in the tank at a certain point. In the end, Im probably getting 25-26 mpg and Im sure the numbers will work out. I keep driving the this all day everyday and its not touching the gas

That's probably why your off, your not using your real number. Post up next time you do the math with your numbers from your gas receipt and your odometer.

Do you have a dyno of your MAF tune?

    I also have header,exhaust, 33"s but I'm 2wd and get 24-25 mpg.

    Sorry MAF calibrator tune.

You tune the MAF for the mods you have done. Gadget can tune it for a specific intake, don't remember which one, and an exhaust of some sort. In order to get the full benefit from the MAF Calibrator you should really go with the software and get it tuned. You can do it yourself if you know how those things work.

A tune will give you the full benefit of all your aftermarket engine modifications.

Oh and most people like to do a street tune on their vehicles over a dyno tune...I guess more simulated driving so you can tune for how you drive.
