I'm curious if any of you maybe aren't used to having projectors and the sharp cutoff line is what seems to be bouncing due to natural road vibrations. Many of you upgraded from older Tacomas, which just threw a blob of light on the road, whereas these new housings are completely different optically. Just a suspicion I had upon discussing it here with others.

Andrew, I only actually notice it on the passenger bulb. I may swap driver and passenger side and see if it still has that issue. If it was both it probably wouldnt be noticeable but I see what you mean for the cutoff making it more noticeable. The bulbs feel tight in there but you can definitely wiggle them a little bit. Maybe Ill get used to it? lol

For those running the LED fogs, any pics up against a garage door? I have the VX3 LED bulbs from VLEDs in my fogs, they are however discontinued. Rated at 2800 lumens, where the LMZ are supposed to be much brighter, I dont see a need for those in the fogs. As it stands now I can drive with my fogs on in lower speed roads and not need headlights

I upgraded from a 2013! And I've ran hids in all my card and never seen a bulb bounce as much as the new ones in my 2016. Seriously!

Wow, I am getting ready to go with these bulbs but may wait, I don't want bouncing light beams. Someone suggested the horizon line of the projector light as appearing to be moving. FWIW Ive had 2 infinitis with factory projector HIDs and never saw the line bouncing, of course they road a bit smoother than a truck. Im going to follow this thread before I order any. Sounds like everyones on it though.

Did any of those cars have projectors as well? The 2013 would just be a reflector housing unless you went with either aftermarket "projector style" headlights or did a retrofit.

They were a reflector housing and I ran 9003 4300k hids. Never seen them move at all. They were DDM 9003 55w 4300k hids!

The reflector wouldn't have that hard cutoff line I was describing as an attribute of the projector--something I think just amplifies the sensation that the bulbs are somehow moving.

I'd love to get a video of them moving on the truck. Might just have to try to do that later!

Andrew, my movement is not at the cut off line, it's about 30' from the truck on the ground.

It's not really a big deal, the lights are great. Just a lil jiggle every once in a while, down my dirt road or when I hit a bump.

The way my fogs are I can run 70 down the highway and use them as headlights, when their combined with the 6500k 55w trs kit it is awesome.

If it's only on rough terrain, we don't suspect there's anything abnormal with the bulbs to be honest. I thought it was just like going down smooth tarmac, for example.

Asphalt, Tarmac. Tarmac is typically what people call airport runways, its really just another word for asphalt IMO
