They don't have to be removed. Only need to replace the bulb which is easily accessed on the back of the housing. All the hid wiring is done in the engine bay

Also has anyone wrote out a DIY installation write up for our trucks? are any of the wires for the fog lights?
I'll be looking for a diagram, because i also received two short cables with thick rectangle shaped boxes and I have never seen those before.

Also how would we go about using our orginal grommet? qould you have to cut it to get the wires out/in?

there shouldn't be any cutting involved. the rectangle box sounds like the resistor box and it needs to be mounted in line w/ the ballasts. the HID kit doesn't come w/ any wires for the fog lights.

their online install guide should be enough to get you sorted out.

Would I have to cut the two cables out of the 4 cables that connect to the bulb ?

2 of those are for inside wired headlights?

pulled the one of the stock bulbs and put it on the HID bulbs. honestly i don't notice any bouncing of the headlights that couldn't be attributed to suspension movement

I installed the Morimoto 55watt kit with 4500k bulbs that I bought from TRS on Black Friday. I had put a note on the order to TRS at the time of purchase that if the color of the fog light and HIDS didn't match to switch to 5500k bulbs, but they didn't switch. So the fogs are a noticeably different shade and it will probably be something I fix since it looks so-so. The 55watt kit required lowering the projectors quite a bit, but it puts out BRIGHT light, no shake or other issues. I did have problems with one of the bulb socket connectors and had to mess around with the connector to get it to really clip onto the bulb. The other side just popped right on, so at first one of the headlights would just flicker on for a brief second and shut off. Hopefully the connector won't cause me future issues but it is a different style HID connector than I've used in the past (square+round on the bulb). I drove for 35 miles on back roads after working on the adjustments with nobody flashing me. I raised them up a bit when I got home but this kit works very well in the OEM projectors.

The fog lights are not as impressive. The adjustment mechanism isn't as good as the OEM fogs (they have a thumb wheel) where the Morimoto fogs have a Philips screw which faces down, so it makes adjusting them a pain. The adjustment is spring tensioned, meaning you can rock the bulb assembly up and down as you compress the spring which hopefully won't result in any bulb shake down the road. I'd probably be happier if I had received 5500k bulbs but I went 4500k simply because that's what I normally run.

The HID upgrade is significant and the quality of the TRS kit is very nice - seriously the brightest headlights I've had on any car I've owned. This is the third or fourth TRS kit I've bought over the years. These illuminate better than my GE Nighthawk LED capsules I had in my 95.5 Tacoma. I'd say they are better than the LED headlights that were in my 2014 Lexus IS-350 F-Sport as well.

Yeah the 5500k matched the fogs perfectly for me but I feel like the fog lights don't put out much light.
I think my halogen fogs put out more light than the LED fogs.

Does everyone else agree or did I get some faulty fogs?

The beam is there but I feel it's very limited compared to the widespread light the halogens out out.

Yeah mine aren't either, I was thinking I might have wired them wrong, the black and red wire reversed but maybe they would not have worked if that was the case right?

I ordered 5500k H11B bulbs to replace the 4500k that I got from TRS.
