I drilled it out a hair more to enlarge the hole so it would just drop down on top of the battery and could be tightened down with the nut that holds the (mast?) in place.

If you are going to do it, might as well do it right since I assume you want to keep the lights for a long period of time and tape won't necessarily hold forever. All you need is that thing to come loose and either somehow end up in your fan belt or dragging below the vehicle if it shakes loose.

Hey guys I have my hid kit and getting ready to install it. But before I just jump in I have a few questions for those of you who have done this.

The orange and black wire with the single pins and connector, what does that go to?

just pull them out. they aren't needed for the install since the other connector just attaches direct to the bulb

That's what I was figuring but wasn't 100% sure. Do I need to keep the rubber grommets?

Also it only has the one oem input. Just tape up the other oem harness connector?

I left it when doing the install and just pushed them closer to the bulb holder. Also I would suggest probably wanting to change the O ring around the bulb to the original bulb ones. A lot more firm than the ones that were shipped. And they don't seem to wiggle when put in the sockets.

though you probably don't need it mind you. I just did it so theres a little more of a water shield

Ok I will check that out. How did you manage not to touch the bulb when swapping it?

you still have to wipe the bulb anyways with the alcohol wipe so it shouldn't matter a whole lot. its the oils and dirt on your fingers that would make it burn out prematurely, so just do a better jo of wiping down the crystal and igniter with the wipe. I did it when my hands were also relatively clean before putting the bulb in which was absolute last for me.

Ok. I have better wipes then what they gave me also. I will just put gloves on when I clean the bulb. I also like to keep stuff like that in the box till it ready to go in.

The harness is made well. It looks like a quality product. I hope it fits decent also. I hate having bundles of wires. I'd also hate having rto cut and fit everything. At that point I might as well have just made it myself.

Ok I installed my TRS HIDs today and included a few pics. Install went about as error-free as possible. Took my time and tucked some wires away so its clean and looks pretty factory under the hood. No noticeable knots of wire. I'll have to wait till tonight to report any bouncing of the lights but the bulbs themselves went in just like the OEM bulbs. Nice and tight. These are the 6500k on the 35w ballast.

I am new to looking into new bulbs and stuff. Are these the bulbs you got?
    http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-LED-headlight-kit-p/h11-led-hl.htm
    http://www.xenondepot.com/h11-h8-h16-philips-Ultinon-LED-Bulb-p/12834unix2-h11.htm

If so, do the headlight LEDs cover low and high beams? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Also what do you think about these? I have read some bulbs shaking on rough roads and stuff. Do these have to hook up directly to the battery as well?

    Thank you.

No bouncing I can see. Everything turns on and off when it should. Looks good to me. Slight blue tint.

It does annoy the shit out of me. And I've yet to have @TRSAndrew respond as to whether or not there's any update on fixing this

Do the LED fog lights come in yellow? I just prefer yellow fogs for rain/fog/snow, less glare. Would be nice if the bulbs came that color but can always use film on the lens I guess. Any thoughts?

edit: It seems TRS sells the fogs with an optional yellow film

So is there a better than/ equal to the morimoto HID kit that performs as it should? (No shaking)
