Yeah, they can be finnicky, take the connections apart and re-connect them.

When I first installed mine they would not work and that is what I had to do.

    Push them in firmly!

I've had it apart about 100 times trying to get it to work in the last couple months. If i plug and unplug the power into the ballast 3-4x the light will work

I am not sure what your referring to, I got mine from VLEDS and they came with two sets of connectors for different types of connections but they were independent of each other.

Put your hand on the relay and turn the headlights on to make sure the relays for both lights are working fine, you should feel them "click" when you turn the light switch on.

If the relays are working then you probably have a defective ballast, you could switch ballasts to confirm...

Or there is a problem with the wiring harness on that side.

    Who did you purchase from?

Its not a relay issue. I can connect/disconnect the power wire at the ballast and the light works. This means the relay must be turned on. Bought from theretrofitsource.

I had a problem like this but it was the connection at the bulb. Swap only the ballasts side to side. If the issue stays on the same side then it's a wiring or connection issue on the ballast side of the wiring. If the problem follows the ballast then it is most likely defective.

That sucks. A bad connection that over heated. Contact TRS for a replacement. They should respond in a couple of days.

I don't have time to wait on their slow ass support. I'll order the parts and they can refund me later.

TRS has the best customer service a person could possibly need. Never had an issue that wasn't fully resolved within 24hrs.

I wouldn't know personally. I formed my opinion by a bunch of people that have purchased from them and then had issues and talked about the service afterwards on here. Take a trip through this thread.

I'd say they have decent support at the inconvenience of the customer. The best service is where the customer is taken care of quickly without impact or hassle.

I have had a problem with every single kit I've used, 4 in total. Next time I'll be using a different brand. Enough is enough.

I haven't been here in a spell. Has there been any resolution for the shaking headlight issue? I get annoyed every time I drive my truck at night. Has TRS stopped talking about it? Last I checked it might have been with specific bulb package. (Thanks, thread is too long)

Still not fixed. However if you use the 4500k bulbs, they fit tight. It's not a gasket issue, since I tried the gasket from the 4500k bulbs on the 5500k bulbs, it made no difference.

Thanks. If I went with that bulb I would also have to replace the connecting harness. To me that bulb is the same as Halogen so do not want to do this but I'm sick of the ghetto shake on signs and other driver's heads. If I drove over to TRS I wonder what they will do for me?

There is a BIG difference between the 4500k bulb and halogen - trust me on that. The colors are not even close.

You can see the 4500k color with the halogen high beam on. They are not even close to matching - the 4500k is MUCH whiter.

Lastly - the sub-harness comes with the bulbs.

I had to order bulbs to get the sub harness that's melted on mine. I'll make someone a deal on just the bulbs

HELP! Just installed my Morimoto HIDs. Everything is connected correctly and securely. The lights would flash on for a millisecond then nothing. I can't figure what's wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?
