Are you running a harness for the HIDs?

As in the HD relay harness? If so then yes.

Got my 35w 5500k HIDs and LED fogs installed last month, I meant to update this thread.

Installation went better than expected. Spent more time than necessary tucking and zip-tying wires.

So far I'm quite happy with the outcome. The color difference between the 5500k HIDs and the 5500k fogs is a little annoying, but it's close enough that others don't notice.

Best of all, I've yet to see any bounce at all from the HIDs, even down washboard dirt roads. Hopefully they don't loosen up over time.

The color difference bothered me enough that I put yellow lamin-x film on the fogs.

I had hid bulbs that did match the fog perfectly, but they were 10yrs old and don't think they had the UV glass so I took the safe route and used the Morimoto bulbs since I didn't want my housings destroyed prematurely.

Recently bought the 5500k 55w HIDs. Look fantastic and are super bright. Cut off is perfect and doesn't blind anyone on the road.

35w 55k checking in after 1 week+ installed. Great output, no shakes.
The pain the ass part of the install is mounting everything and tucking wires.

Haha couldn't agree more here. Lift output is so much better than LeD but the wires and hardware install were a pain in the ass to make look nice.

Are just your low beams out? If so just use your fogs to get home.

Check the fuse in the HD Relay. Replace it if necessary.

@Gravytrain912 Mine failed to come on once after a heavy monsoon. It wasn't just a "fail to fire" as both low beams would not come on after multiple attempts. I checked the factory fuses and they were fine. I replaced the 25A fuse in the HD relay even though it had continuity through it. I used a quality Bussmann fuse of the same size and now keep a spare in the truck. I also added a dab of clear silicone on the fuse capsule to keep the elements out which I think helps. This solved my problem. Good luck.

    Super newbie here.

Installed some these fog lights, without problem. I’ve read about proper adjustment and I can’t get things to point down. I’ve looked. I don’t think you can reverse them when you install them. The adjustment screw can be seen from above but turning seems to do no good. Which way should the screw turn to point the lights lower???

I've just wired the drivers side light on my morimoto HD but the other headlight ballast has no place for the factory power wife to go. Any ideas?

If you used the harness, then the stock passenger side connector isn't used. Cover it up and tuck it away.
