I have recent morimoto h11B bulbs in my wife's cars and have zero shakes. I am one of those who still thinks it's the factory projector.

    I ordered the supernova v3.

Check it out on YouTube. 2016 tacoma led and you'll see some videos from headlight revolution.

I'm waiting for the item to arrive....

I have the Xenondepot HID kit in both a 2012 Highlander and my new TRD OR.
The kit in the Highlander has been going strong for 3 years, so didn't think twice ordering again.
For high beams I got the Xenondepot LEDs on both vehicles as well. Again, no complaints. Great service too.
Morimoto Xb fogs leave me somewhat disappointed. Was expecting more. May still sell them and get some Baja ones.

Thanks for the kind words - always like to hear about people that are happy with their lights. Any chance you have some pics you can share? We love to see our lights in action!

I was reading though this thread and saw an old post of mine. I've had the Morimoto elites since February, 9 months ago. No shaking issue to day and still have good output.

i am pretty sure there are different batches made from the TRS morimoto hid's. they give a bounce or shake on bumpy roads. i've already got the updated washers and made my thick washers but still the bounce. i think its coming from the "hid rod" that vibrates.

its like the same feeling if you bang on a metal pole and it vibrates ......

i swapped out to the supernova leds and the washers on those are stiff and no shake as i've been driving over bumpy roads.

overall im happy with the supernova leds.

up for sale is the morimoto kit- make me an offer if someone wants to try them out. pm me

Pretty interesting find. I have the 50W bulbs too and have been running them for about a year now too. I haven't noticed the bounce yet and have been super happy with my kit, but I'll be following your thread. All this time people where blaming TRS and pretty much ran @TRSAndrew out of here. Now the problem is being seen across multiple HID kits and the issue looks like it could be a Toyota component after all.

Got a little issue I'm hoping someone can help with.

I received my Morimoto HID kit with relay harness and everything appeared to be in good condition when it arrived. Nothing notable damage wise to the package or contents. I installed it this evening and upon first startup only my drivers side illuminated. I checked all connections and everything was tight and clicked in. I then left the headlights on and wiggled all the wires leading to passenger side, what I found was that when I tap on the relay that goes to that side I can get the light to flicker on and off. I turned off the lights and disconnected the plug into that harness, nothing looked broken or bent. Snapped it back in and turned lights on again. Everything lit up as expected but if I tap just right or wiggle the harness below the relays I can occasionally get it to flicker.
I drove around a bit after I got it on and it didn't cut out at all but it concerns me a little bit that it may just cut out on me one day.

Possible the relay itself has something loose/wrong internally? I've asked the vendor I purchased the kit from as well but thought maybe someone here had an idea.

That’s exactly what I did with my fogs. Had the Morimito fogs and sold to get the Baja Squadron Sports in Amber (wide/Corning). One of my FAVORITE upgrades so far! They are very bright and very high quality. You won’t regret it.

I found out cause of the shake or bounce.

    It's a defective batch. I got the 5500k
It's the white rod that is loose. It slides up and down or vibrates, and that's what causes the shake. Going to call the trs guy and claim a warranty for new bulbs.

I'll try to upload a video to show yall soon

What is this bounce everyone keeps mentioning? I have morimotos in my truck that I switch over from my 16’ civic both being h11b. Not one problem at all.

I have experienced the bouncing issue with both the 5500k and 6500k bulbs. Although the light output is far better than stock and LEDs, this bouncing issue is extremely irritating. Going to purchase a different brand of HID bulbs to see if that solves the problem..

Isn't this just your truck bouncing up and down on a rough road? Mine would look just like your video with my halogens due to the sharp cut off caused by the projectors.

It's not my truck. It's the beam in the middle that shakes
