Did everyone have to use the extension harness to install or are they not necessary? When I screwed up and ordered the fog light kit For my headlights I see they don' have the extension harness. I was just wondering if they were necessary?

Just waiting for my bulbs to get to be before I can install.

The OEM housings that take H11's probably won't melt if you went with 35w. The H16 housings might. However you will almost certainly blind everyone. The reflector housings just can't create a proper pattern from the HID bulbs. If you want to upgrade your fog lights I'd go with Morimoto XB LED which are 5500k or a member here found Lexus LED Fog lights that are 4300K.

    Hey guys,

I just took out my Morimoto 2 Stroke LED's and swapped them out for my TRS hids since the weather is cooler and the heat from the hids will melt the snow better and still having that bulb shaking issue. Did that ever get resolved? @TRSAndrew

    Thanks,
    Corey

Still got the shaking with my set, no solution that I know of.
Do you notice any shaking with the LEDs installed?

I definitely have the shaking issue after installing my HIDs. I don't think anyone from TRS is working on the issue. From what I hear they are blaming it on the projector portion of the headlight which I'm starting to belive. Ive heard that if you mess with the adj screw you can take some of the slop out of it, tho I've never tried it.

Without going through 81 pages of posts can you utilize a different bulb with the Morimoto setup? I was looking at the Osram CBI bulbs in lieu of the Morimoto H11b units.

So....Retrofit source has a deal on 20% off over $300 for orders (Christmas). I was going to jump on this to preorder the new 3rd gen Morimoto setup. Their homepage with the pop up that advertises the discount code even has a pic of them...with the discount code. After putting them in the cart it says that the code is not valid with those. I see the fine print down there but Really???...WTF

Yeah, their marketing department didn’t do a good job with that one.

35w 5500k. No bouncing so far. But they look awesome with my custom Morimoto fogs in amber. May need to lower my fogs a bit.1543DCAD-241E-4533-867B-DA3BCB8B3D69.jpg4E3ECC94-1AE2-45A7-8685-08092688DC44.jpg46C9D296-0C9E-4249-9F12-3B0AC7E0BD6D.jpg
