Put the Morimoto HID's on my truck last November (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...nstallation-guide.472601/page-5#post-21994125) and have enjoyed them. They've been working fine until tonight when the headlights would not turn on any longer.

Upon investigation, looks like the inline fuse holder failed. Partially melted, and some of the plastic made it's way onto the fuse. Has anyone seen this? Wondering if I just got a faulty harness.

Truck rarely gets driven at night, is basically just a vehicle to transport my mountain bike, I'd be surprised if the headlights had 10 hours on them.

Just wondering how fast Morimoto can get me a replacement harness...of course I leave Wednesday for 2.5 weeks of driving. Worst case is I can just wire in a new fuse holder. Anyone have a link to a good inline 20amp fuse holder?

If you got them from TRS they are usually good for these types of things. Don’t know about morimoto directly, or if that’s even a thing.
If not that’s a pretty easy fix. Inline fuse holders are cheap so you could just cut that out and solder a new one in.

I've had mine for four years and never saw that. Hopefully you can get it replaced for free.

I’ve had to replace my relays twice now but not the fuse. You can get a new fuse and holder from any parts store. Just cut out the old one and solder in the new one.

Yup, I can put a new fuse holder in, of course I'll wait for Morimoto response as I don't really want to hack up their harness and then warranty denied. I was just hoping someone might have a link to a better one than found at the auto parts store or on Amazon.

Interesting. I haven't had an issue but I cut the inline fuse off.
