That’s not how it works though. If no one buys them then they just wouldn’t get made.

Sounds like the group buy won't be shipped out for several weeks. From my understanding the first 50 who ordered direct from TRS. Are the ones getting the first shipment release.

I wasn’t in the group buy, I’m positive I ordered after the group buy though

LOL... well, then you end up with garbage like the TacomaBeast lights or none at all. I'm going to sign up for crazy now that these things are proving to be not vaporware. My suggestion is to wait until the end of the year, maybe Andrew at TRS will have a Black Friday code to save a few bucks? I think we missed the pre-order discount by now.

In for nighttime pics!! Curious if they tuned the cutoff shield for a bit more color on the final production models

Took inside and outside pics. since i have 70% tint on the windshield. Definitely think I'm going to have to adjust them up. With the cutoff, you don't see shit past that. And from out of the box. Probably only around 25 feet distance with the low beams. 20190614_220322.jpg 20190614_220301.jpg

Lights like this are never perfect out of the box, always gonna have to adjust them when you install them

I might still put in an order once Inferno gets a chance to adjust the aim a bit... @Inferno_Taco what's your early thoughts on the quality of the output thus far?

Just from tonight. i think the output is pretty good. I'm coming from stock housings with morimoto 35w 5500k hid for the lows. The cutoff and clarity from the stock halogen projectors are mediocre at best. Will adjust the angle tomorrow night. That should fix my issue not being able to see at a distance driving tonight. The high beam's did resolve that issue though. I do also have the Baja design squadron Pros for fogs. But didn't use them for testing tonight.

Anyone with a set of XB's that has a friend with retro rx350 projectors to compare side by side for anyone on the fence with these vs doing a retro?

But is it really though? Ballparking figures, if housings are $300ish, dual (really triple for both high and low beams) LED projectors are figure $300, you're already around $600-$700. Add in a few hundred for labor to put it all together...I don't really see it being that far out. A good retro not including housings is what, $800+?

    Apples to oranges.
That said, It’s going to be close to my comparison of the MLED’s some pages back

Yeah, figured it would be. I already went the retro route but I was on the fence for a while. Figured it would help push people one way or the other.

It's hard to actually capture light output in a picture anyway. Almost have to see it for yourself.

So they do come somewhat aligned out of the box?
