H1 bulbs are usually held in with a retaining clip or spring from my past experiences but the D2S bulb is held in by a retaining nut that threads on.

Good, so I didn't screw anything up. I was getting worried when people were talking about some sort of nut holding the bulb in place!

Nope! you are good to go, sounds like you have it the way it should be. Like mentioned above the D2S have that retaining screw on ring and the H1 is much like the clip that was used for the oem bulb set up.

Not difficult at all to add the halo's. It's just a little extra wiring and securing the halo rings to your shroud. I used jb weld steel putty to secure mine and wired them to switched 12v so they are always on when the truck is on.

No concern at all. Quote from the jb weld site:
SteelStik is a hand-mixable, steel-reinforced, non-rusting epoxy putty that quickly repairs or rebuilds anything made of metal. After mixing, it forms an industrial-strength polymer compound that can be molded into shapes or used to build up, patch and repair steel components. SteelStik sets in 3-5 minutes and after 60 minutes, can be drilled, tapped, machined, ground, filed and painted. SteelStik cures to a dark grey color, is rated at a tensile strength of 900 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 300ºF.

For those of you that bought an extra set of headlights, can you adjust the aim vertically after everything is sealed up and put back on the truck? I see that everyone rec'd testing for horizontal before you seal the lights back up, or glue the shroud to the reflector bowl, but no one mentions testing for vertical at this point.

Vertical and side to side is adjusted using the stock adjustment screws so you mess with that adjustment after everything is mounted for good. You need to get the cutoff horizontal before you seal the lights up.

Has anyone ever seen pics with the mini gatling shroud in graphite? Curious to how the "glow" it says it provides will look.

Eborgie has them. You can search through his photos to see what they look like. I'd say you could PM him but he won't be back by the time the current group buy has closed (he lives near me, that's the only reason I know that).

I am playing around a bit with the projector and shroud before starting the project. I know the mini gattling and the H1 are suppose to screw in together. Has anyone had trouble getting the projector inside the shroud far enough to get the hole's aligned to screw in? Or am I just not using enough force to get the projector far enough inside the shroud to reach the holes?

I have a few pics to show what I'm talking about. Also, did anyone's kit come with the screws for this, or did you have to go and buy them?

    Hope that makes sense.

Are you sure you have them lined up correctly? The top and bottom have different widths. I think the bottom was the wider of the two, and it does fit on there pretty snug.

^^This, it's a snug fit. They will go together, it might take some light pressure (very light, don't go nuts with it). Make sure the holes are lined up properly.
