A heat gun is the next best alternative. I've done it before. Takes a bit more time but very doable.

Honestly man its not bad at all...although I understand the feeling as I was nervous as shit the first time I did it. Kept glancing at the oven every 30 seconds. If you want to play it safe...put the headlight in the oven for 15 minutes at 240 degrees. You have to be near 290 degrees to start cooking stuff.

If you watch some videos it might build your confidence up as they all do it similarly. Some with certain tools, others not so much. TRS is a great resource for understanding how to play it absolutely safe as well.

Bro, I was intimidated with my first retrofit. Just scour the classifieds for a used set of oem headlamps and periodically check the closeout section of retrofit source for b stock projectors. Just throwing ideas out, the process does involve a bit of time and patience.

This went to shit and didn't need to... A couple of observations:
    • Potential buyer's spending comfort-ability is clearly outside of the scope of a full retrofit such as this. He may have not fully understood what goes into the build, or did and was simply balking at the price.
    • Seller continued to pressure the sale to the point in which the potential buyer was feeling harassed/defensive
Everyone could have played their cards a bit better to not make either party feel attacked. I say mark this down as a learning experience aaaaand... BREAK

I wasn't pressuring him. I quoted him at 1000 a few weeks ago and he said let him look at some more pics. So he knew my price before
