I have a 2021 SR and I got the Evo‘s and everything works except for I get hyper flash when I put on DRL or parking lights where my DRL‘s are on in my tail light running lights on otherwise they were fine. I have talked to Morimoto And basically they said they can’t help me

update I ended up fixing it. I had to turn off the DRL in the truck settings.

Do you also have aftermarket tail lights? Did you use any resistors in your install?

so they came with resistors and everything they only hyper flash with daytime running and parking lights otherwise with the headlights on they work and when they are turned off, the daytime running is still on as it is supposed to be, and they light up with the hyper flash

So no aftermarket tail lights? Just OEM?

Aren't DRL and parking lights the same thing, or am I confused?

Pretty much the only difference is the tail lights are on. It’s something like that. I don’t know if it’s parking lights or daytime running but tail lights were never a problem

I still don't know if you've got aftermarket tail lights or not, and if you do if those have resistors as well. Beyond that it seems like everything should work if you've installed them correctly.

There were talks of this in the main thread about them: NEW 16-23 Morimoto XB Evo Headlights are here! | Tacoma World

I don't have the issue so I'm not sure where it left off, but maybe something in there will help. Seemed to only be in the SR/SR5's with the combined drl/signal function. I think someone was working on a wiring harness to make it not happen or you had to change a setting in the headunit.
