TRD Pro 4Runner alloy wheels with BFG KO2 265/70R17 tires, OEM exhaust tip, OEM mud flaps, OEM body color mirror caps, Sylvania 194 LED license plate bulbs, Morimoto xb LED fog lights, Morimoto 2stroke LED headlights.
Tonight I installed a set of Morimoto xb LED fog lights on my 2016 Tacoma. I wanted to upload some output shots which would have really helped me when deciding between these and the Rigid SAE fog lamp kit. For the price, I think this set looks better (more of an OEM look) and offers crisp clean light output with minimal glare, even when adjusted level with the horizon into more of a driving light compared to a low aimed fog pattern. I'm sure there are output shots buried somewhere in the combined Morimoto HID/LED fog light thread, but I got tired of reading about bouncing headlight complaints.

The photos show fog/LED DRL only, fog + OEM halogen headlights, and lastly OEM halogen headlights only for comparison. The glare up on the tree in the fog/LED DRL only shot is from the intense LED DRL which dim when the headlights are on. Tomorrow I will install Morimoto 2stroke LED headlights to go with the new fogs. Very impressed so far.

More photos from the truck at different angles so the beam pattern can be compared:

I think lots of people on this forum will complain that I have my fog lights aimed too high. When I am parked level next to a building the LED fog lights shine perfectly level with the horizon, they do not shine up towards traffic or down like a traditional fog beam. This is where I found them to be most beneficial to me in providing additional illumination to the sides. I did extensive testing tonight to make sure that there was not any glare coming from the fog lights towards oncoming traffic and found the LED fog lights better in this regard than the OEM halogen headlights and OEM halogen fog lights which scattered light everywhere. I also found that when aimed low in a traditional fog pattern that lots of useful light hit the ground in front of the truck where I couldn't see from the drivers seat and the tall hood. There is very little fog where I live in Idaho so the elevated beam angle is much more useful for spotting deer and other hazards as opposed to lighting up the ground in front of my truck where I can't see anyways. Hopefully these photos will be useful to other new 2016 owners considering the upgrade, I highly recommend them so far and can't wait to see how they do with the Morimoto 2stroke LED headlights I will install and test tomorrow.

Installation was easy with minimal tools, a direct replacement for the factory fog light units. The only tricky part was figuring out the positive/negative wire on the harness but you can flip it if you get it wrong the first time. There is a helpful PDF install guide on Tacoma World somewhere for these particular Morimoto LED fog lights on the 2016 Tacoma but I couldn't find it tonight.

Yep as long as you have the factory fog lights on your 2016 Tacoma.

OP very good write up / review.
These are very good quality lights.
I previously had 5K HID fogs so it took a little getting use to.
I personally miss the amount of light the HID's put out.
There are alot of people that bash HIDs for the Glare they throw.
I didn't think the glare was that bad and didn't use them in most suburban areas.
The HIDs caused static in my radio which ultimately led to me purchasing these.
