To start, buying tires has to be one of my least favorite things to do, I don't know if I am just unlucky or has anyone else had as many bad experiences as me??

Tuesday of last week I started calling around to get a few quotes, found a good price from a big name tire shop and ordered my tires, scheduled to drop off my truck on Sunday morning, and paid infull for everything including alignment. Friday rolls around and I call the shop to make sure my tires had arrived and they said they were there and ready to go, Saturday I called again to reconfirm 9am and they said everything was a go. Sunday morning I drive 30 min to the shop to find out my tires had never arrived, needless to say I was a little upset, got my refund and left.

Monday morning I call a diffrent shop to have them order my tires, guy was very helpful, said they would be in first thing Tuesday morning and would call when they arrived. Tuesday morning 9:15am he calls says my tires are in and I could drop off the truck anytime to have them installed and the alignment done. Worked late Tuesday and was unable to get the truck to the shop.

Wednesday morning a 8am I dropped my truck off the get the four new tires installed on four new rims and an alignment. 5:30pm I returned to get my truck and they were just finishing the alignment, by the time I was done paying the guy handed me my key and said "your tire light is on but you will need to drive it for 20-30 miles for it to shut off." (Not true) I walked out of the office and before the door could close behind me I could clearly see the the front left and rear right tires were extremely low, I turned around opened the door and asked them if they had checked the tire pressure and they reasured me the were all at 30pis. I asked the guy to come outside and look for himself and he agreed that they were low (7 and 9 pis to be exact) they pulled the truck back into the shop to double check everything and after about 30 min they said I was good to go.

Woke up Thursday morning to two completely flat and one almost flat, and not to mention my steering wheel is not straight as well.

I aired them up and took the truck back, I'm still waiting to hear from them to find out what they are going to do.

If you took the 5 min out of your life to read my rant, thank you and I hope the tire gods bestow their glory apon you.

Man that sucks OP. I missed the days where I worked at a shop that allowed me to work on my own car. Stuff like this is why I hate taking my car in, especially if you paid good money to get it done. That alignment sucks also, I wonder if they even bothered to test drive the truck when done??

I hope the person who did the tires didn't f up the bead when putting the tires on, which should be pretty damn hard to do in all honesty. Except for those damn low profile stiff sidewall tires.

Bad seal around the TPMS sensors maybe? Never understood how tire shops can be so shitty, they seem to just do tires and oil changes, 2 pretty simple tasks.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I've had 5 rims replaced on my S2000 due to tire shops scratching them. One of them replaced the wheel without issue. I had to sue the other (Honda dealer) to get the problem resolved.

When I was in HS, I worked in a tire shop for a few years. Its not hard to do the job right, but not many folks really care to do it right it seems. For that reason, the only thing service by someone on my vehicles is tires.

I sprayed the valve stems with soapy water after airing them up and they were all leaking. And seriously, the word "tire" is in the name of your company, you should be halfway decent at that.

Could also be a bad/loose valve stem core. Hopefully it is something easy.

I’ve never been disappointed with discount tire. Only once have I had a mildly bad experience and it was because of a reservation system issue. Normally I make an appointment and I’m in and out in less than 45 min for a rotate and balance or 1.5 hours for new tires.
My bad experience was my truck hadn’t gone in the bay and it was an hour past my appointment time. I talked to the service dude, and somehow I was entered as a walk in. Mix up resolved and I was out of there in 30 min.

The hell did they do? I've NEVER had a shop that did anywhere near that crappy of a job.

My recommendation is to find the best deal online for the tire you are looking for, have discounttiredirect price match if they themselves are not the best deal found, have your tires delivered to your home and then find a good mom and pop place that can mount and balance them for $15-$20 per tire.

This has worked great for me.

Alignment because I installed Icon upper control arms and King coilovers, and you are correct Big O was the second shop, Wheel Works the first.

The truck has 4301 miles on it, they didn't say anything about the toe being off, only caster and camber, and that's how I got it back. Not very happy to say the least
