I’m ready to buy a good set of sliders for 2017 DCSB, I called CBI with a couple questions about the differences between the “trail” set and the “overland” set?? I can see the overland has plates but wondered if there are any other differences. Waiting for a call back so I went on CBI website to order the overland version and it returns a shipping error about the weight and the site won’t let me order. Frustrating and ready to purchase also hope to get them sooner than later. Any suggestions or recommendations.

    This is the error msg.

[UPS] No rate returned, The maximum per package weight for the selected service from the selected country or territory is 150.00 pounds. (UPS code: 111035)

I also noticed the CBI sets are 86” long according to website and CaliRaised are 81”. 86” would go from middle of fender flare front and back. 81” seems to me would be a bit too short for a good look and fit in my opinion. Please comment on this if you know anything about this too.

Important Things to me is quality, good tough looking and strong DOM protection with kickouts, bolt on, shipped to So Cal.
Help and ready to go ASAP.

    I'd go RCI tbh.

Caliraised have a reputation for ripping off competitors and using cheap Chinese junk. But to each their own.

what is the TW discount? I was just looking at some for my 2018 DCSB. And was debating if the 17 hr drive to Loveland from Portland would be nice road trip or not lol.

I got them with my 2007 FJ when I bought new. I didn't know Toyota had them for the Tacoma until a little while back when building a new OffRoad to see what it would cost to replace mine. Dealer is offering some fairly decent dollars for used Tacos.

There's little to no information on them other than a price and picture when you build via the configurator.

It would definitely be worth it for some armor!

Since some of you are getting rock sliders, I'd highly recommend looking at skid plates as well.

This @RCI-Offroad armor has served me well. Cleaning them up and refreshing the paint today, plus undercoating my truck before remounting.

    We love seeing this stuff!

This is a great example of how the skids can take a beating and still hold their shape. We are very proud of our skids! I am glad they have served you well.

My advice is to buy local. Shipping alone can be over 20% of the cost. Even if there is no off-road company near you, there likely is a local fabricator who would make some for you for substantially less than the big companies.

Obviously it's a month away, but most companies do a Black Friday/Thanksgiving sale.

At this point I’d wait until Black Friday deals start being advertised. I just installed RCI sliders I ordered over Labor Day weekend with their coupon code that weekend I was out the door under $800 including tax. My options were powder coating, no top plate and no shipping due to local pickup. You could save money by getting bare metal and painting yourself.
