Direct quote from Rocky Road's website, Tacoma section:

Rocky Road Tacoma rock sliders are very simple to install and are completely 'bolt on'... no cutting, and NO WELDING!! Welding no your frame is a HUGE MISTAKE! Don't do this. Don't damage your truck frame. Use bolton kits from Rocky Road.

You still haven't decided on sliders? Seeing this thread is 2 months old almost 3 i would have just saved up and bought some for that black friday sale to say the least.

I got a new frame, and then I welded my sliders on  I also cut for 35s and did a shock relocate :anonymous:

Actually, now that I think about it I think the op said he pulled the trigger on some a while back. Don't feel like scrolling but I do think he said he grabbed some.

I have bought a number of products from Caliraised, including their sliders, and have been to the Caliraised fab shop in Ft. Worth. They manufacture all of their sliders in house and have a local shop powder coat them. Very reputable company, DOM steel, quality welding, and fit perfectly. Most of their lighting products are of Chinese origin, but what switches I have bought from them have worked well for me, can’t say about their LED lighting. Their customer service has been great for me, and it’s really nice to be able to pick up the phone or email and speak to someone that is actually an off road enthusiast. But as you said, to each his own.

Hmmm. I am probably going with bolt on sliders myself but this is a pretty strong statement. Also strange coming from a company whose tagline is "Hardcore off-road equipment for the hard core enthusiast". Their website is quite something to begin with, though. Benefit of the doubt: they're busy making quality products rather than hiring a web designer :)

I should have clarified, their lighting is suspect. From what I've seen all of their metal work stuff is pretty darn good quality. Thank you for clarifying and correcting me.

Go read through the thread. Shame on you for opening your mouth and making a comment that was 100% false. Making an a** of yourself

I ordered a set from avidoffroad. Like every other manufacture, it’s taken 6 weeks to get them built and they’re a few days out from being delivered.

When I talked to the company on the phone two different times, they told me they required drilling a few holes into the frame. Didn’t want to drill into a frame that was only 3 months old so I passed

Good job. You finally got the sliders. It shouldn’t be that hard to order sliders if you use the search function instead of creating your own thread.

How do they hold up? Summit racing is right by me and they have them in stock.

It’s been a long process but the sliders went on tonight. Installed by myself took about 2.5 hours.
These are at 7 degrees, just about perfect in my opinion to function as a step and slider. I also think 10 degrees would be good for the slider/step function

RSG sliders. Buy once cry once, after all you get what you pay for. You have a Tacoma act like it for crying out loud.
