its a goodyear tire made just for walmart, kinda like how they have the winchester white box ammo.

The yrs I worked there, I have NEVER had a single complaint about the tire.

I'm in a fairly unique position that is currently allowing me to test different tires on near identical Toyota Tacomas. The Wrangler Authorities on my personal truck are significantly better on dirt and soft sand than the Wrangler Duratracs I have on my work truck. The Authorities are slightly louder on the highway, but have much sharper handling.

I have always liked the lugs on the authorities over the duratracs, but wish the shoulder lugs were as aggressive as the duratracs.

The authorities have gotten me outta some sticky spots....... 1 of which I suffered pretty badly gouged passenger rim after digging into shale/dirt. The tires sidewalls were unfazed by the adventure.

That's awesome. too often old tires are being compared to brand new tires or two completely different handling vehicles

Read my ongoing review that I linked in the comment about them. Sums up every terrain type I've tried them in. And Walmart's website is wrong: the only speed rating available is Q.
