Any thoughts on 265/70/16 vs 265/75/16 for AT tires (namely Duratrac)?

So even if the standard size for 1st gens is 265/70 you can put a 265/75 on without any issues?

I actually looked into the ST's alot because I wanted a tire in 275/70, but now I'm going with ATZ's in 285. I've seen the ST's in person just about everyday, very aggresive. And from what I understand they are popular in australia.

The Duratracs look awesome for an AT tire. That will be my next tire purchase for sure.

BFG AT's are great. I've had them before and the only bad things I can say about them is that they are old school and everyone and their mom has them.

I'm most likely going 275/75/16 Duratracs at tax return. They look sick, and I'm certain are excellent. I keep also looking at the Dunlop MT Maxx Traction (or something like that), they are a hybrid MT/AT tire that even has the severe weather snowflake. They look sick too. I've typically not been a Dunlop fan over the years, but I don't know, I can't seem to find anything wrong with those tires. They're even cheap.

I am dead serious when I say try the General Grabber AT2s. They are sweet tires. If you like the BFG's then you will really really like the Generals. I promise you that they are a better tire for the money.

They clean out that damn red clay a lot better than the BFG's. They are not a mud tire, but I really like them a lot better than the BFG's in everything. If for no other reason to buy them it would be for the wet road traction compared to the BFG's.

I have the hankook dynapro MT (Maxx Traction) I really like them. They are pretty agressive but they are very quiet on the road and I think they look pretty cool.

They do pretty well in mud and clean themselves pretty well as long as you keep them spinning.

Hankook calls it maxx traction. Its is less agressive than most tires that are called mud terrians and it rides very quiet on the road. If the OP is looking for agressive but quiet this is a pretty good tire.

Also I have never had any traction problems in the rain with this tire.

I have had them for about 5000 miles.
