What are the most common impact socket sizes used on the Gen1? Don't want a full set with sockets I will never use.

I have no idea, I just got a set of 10-12 duralast ones from autozone with the lifetime warranty...was like $30 and I’ve used all but one or two of them

Buy a full set. 3/8", 1/2" drives. Metrics up to 21 mm.
    Combination wrenchs same range
    Set of Allen key/wrench
    Torque wrench

You will still end up going to the store for the one you don't have.

There is a TW list of socket sizes for the first gen. Search is your friend.

Forgot the 35mm socket, if you've got a 4x4 with ADD, or lock ring pliers for manual hubs.

    10, 12, 14mm are most commonly used

For impact 17 and 19 in 1/2 are used the most for me. If you work on multiple vehicles you’ll end up using most if not all of them. I would go for the larger sets for impact.

I have 6 in the truck (I have a dedicated tool bag that lives in the truck).

4 are between deep socket, short, 6 point and 12 point. Other 2 are swivel style which have proven very useful.

3 were actually a gift from last years TWSS

Thanks guys. Probably not going to use a 10 mm or a 12 mm on an impact gun though - I would think the fastener head would shear right off. 14, 17, 19, 21, 35 sound good based on what I have run into so far.

Adjustable wrench fits them all! The most common use would be 21 MM for the lugs depends how deep you want to get into it.

Make sure you get at least five 10mm sockets... you know what happens to them.

The thing is depends on your impact guns i have 3/4" 1/2" and 3/8" I use the 10 and 12mm all the time on the 3/8" impact .

You will learn just how your impact works.

They are not all created equal I have had some over the years that were just glorified nut runners.

You should be using impact sockets with a beaker bar as well. I’ve shattered a few chrome sockets with a breaker bar

it might be cheaper to buy a pack of sockets than it is to buy 5 individual sockets.

    I think 10, 12, 14, 17 and 21 are the most commonly used ones.

Now that is a good piece of advice there and one I have violated.

95% of the time you’ll be fine but when you throw a cheater pipe on the end of the breaker bar things start getting sketchy and either the breaker bar or the socket is gonna break. Impact sockets are just much beefier and I use them when I remember to

The only time I don`t use 6 point impact sockets is because a clearance issue
