5 boys , in 1964 , gave $25 for a 56 Pontiac that had the top crushed but ran good . They couldn't figure out how they could make money but knew there was a way. They decided to raffle off the car by guessing how long it would run wide open in Neutral in a open field. The winner would get $50. They sold the chances and the event started. About 30 boys were standing around giggling and teasing each other.
The V8 Pontiac started screaming and smoking and all were excited , about that time one cylinder destroyed itself. The car vibrated violently. It shook the transmission lever to DRIVE and sped around in circles. The boys ran for their lives as the car finally hit an embankment and stopped.
I was one of the 5 who bought the car.

BTW everyone got the money they gave back. We left the car and one day it disappeared.

Dangerous but funny. Wish I had a video of that event.:crazy:

God I hope my gf brings home the popcorn.

Oh and I jumped over 15 ft from a moving vehicle and my left knee sploded. It was rebuilt to be better, faster, not really stronger. Actually it’s still pretty shitty.

I drove backwards on the highway and got wedged under an 18 wheeler before it crushed the bed of the truck.

..but that was because I hit a patch of black ice in Kentucky. That was a 2005 Tacoma Prerunner. Couldnt have been happier with the safety of that truck.

Gotta be roof surfing at highway speed.... theres plenty more, but thats gotta take the cake. We didn't even need to hit anything for things to have gone very wrong. If they ever figure out this time travel thing, im gonna go slap the SHIT out of my teenage self.

Many many years ago. Took me, my buddy and his dog off a 15 foot cliff backwards spinning out at 105mph. Car drove away. Driveshaft exploded on the street racing a Terminator Mustang and Lotus Elise week later from carrier bearing being bent. Went through the floor board.

    Intentionally or unintentionally?

I was in the back seat of a car when it flipped once on its front, and three times on its side.

Picture it: Peru, 1980. We left the Pacific coast at 3am, eastbound, to watch the rally race from the top of the Andes. My cousin was driving my dad’s old 1968 Dodge Coronet. There were six of us young ones in the car. I was 16. My dad drove his —then new— 1980 Dodge Diplomat, with my mom and aunt. As we hit the summit the sunrise blinds my cousin and, upon crossing some railroad tracks he mistakes the tracks for the road. We must me doing 65 MPH. Half asleep I can feel the tires bumping against the railroad ties until the front tires get stuck where some ties are missing. The car flips on its front and lands on its roof. Then we start rolling sideways down the ravine. The car finally comes to a stop as it lands back on the road on its wheels, blowing all tires, facing back.

We are at 15,000 ft in elevation. We had been sleeping, were all bundled up and sort of tight fitting against each other in the car. The windshield is totally smashed; the front of the roof caved in but fortunately not too bad. We have altitude sickness from the rude awakening but miraculously no one got seriously hurt.

The road was closed due to the race. So we had to wait for it to end. My dad and my cousin took the tires to be repaired to the nearest town. The car started but it had a broken engine mount so it couldn’t be driven. My cousin got at the wheel of the wrecked Coronet. My dad, who was driving the new Dodge, tied a rope from the wrecked car to his front bumper, stuffed eight of us into the car —5 of us plus three of them in the other— to hold held back the powerless wreck from sliding down the long, steep descent down to the coast.

Took us like 3 hours to cover 50 miles. When we hit a decent size town, my cousin stayed behind in the Coronet, while dad brought everyone else back to civilization and sent for a tow truck.

A 1968 Dodge Coronet sedan, similar to the one we were in

I once topped out a motorcycle (zx9r) at 3am on the highway. That was some 25 years ago and I don’t do those high speed runs anymore.

More recently, I drive into very one sided political areas with stickers supporting the other side. I get lots of angry peeps looking at me but fortunately so far so good. Hoping nobody goes postal.
