That's kind of what I told the cops that followed us up there; they barely made it.

    Vehicle:
    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
Did a Pee Wee Herman impression on a modified moped without a helmet (pre-helmet law days) going down Angeles Crest Hwy (a steep and curvy mtn hwy) near LA, passing cars and trucks, laying low on the corners and drove by a CHP car going up the other way... hid over the berm until he passed by and never saw him again. High school dummies...

The only thing worse than old environmental consultants are old DEC workers. I was on a site in upstate NY, an old landfill to oversee test pits, tons of off roading trails in the area. During lunch I go exploring some of the trails in the rental pontiac, actually searching for sample locations, and the DEC guy comes around the bend in his jeep XJ at near highway speeds, skids sideways nearly flipping the jeep and almost sideswiping the rental car. "Sorry kid, I like to have some fun back here!"

Jumped my 89 crx on Portuguese bend in Palos Verdes. A sheriff was going the other way. It's a section of land that's sliding into the ocean a d the road is constantly moving. Never got caught by the sheriff as I was going to be out of his jurisdiction in 3 minutes after that.
Made it from palos verdes to long beach in less than 20 minutes in that car also. Normally would take roughly 40 minutes.

Ah, the Portuguese Bend road. Still shifting.

I lived in San Pedro. The PV peninsula were my old stomping grounds.

Always. The pv side is always worse than the pedro side. I used to drive that road a lot. Like 2 to 6 times a day for 10 years.
