Looking to get the most performance out of my 3RZ. I am looking to drop about $,1000 but I am not interested in going Turbo or Supercharged though. Curious what parts are also interchangeable, such as 2rz on a 3rz. I am planning on doing a motor swap to another 3RZ from LCEngineering, but I would rather let this one buck until I absolutely NEED to replace it. So currently I have done the following:

    K&N Intake and MAS
    LCEngineering Header
    LCEngineering Catalytic Converter
    LCEngineering Exhaust
    LCEngineering Replacement Fuel Injectors
    New Stock Fuel Filter
    New Fuel Pressure Regulator
Replaced Old Vacuum Lines with New Silicone Lines
    Replacement Stock Spark Plug Cables
    Replacement Stock Distributor Rotor
    Coolant Temperature Sensor
All New Belts minus anything to do with Timing

Some parts that I am looking into until I need to start fine tuning (ECU wise also when should I start this process?) are as follows:

    Spark Plug Cables ($240.00)

(piggybacking on this are there any other parts for ignition/spark?)

What other Sensors can I replace that would be a good Idea?

Does anyone have a lead on a New Throttle Body, Upper Manifold, Lower Manifold, is this worth it? ($480.00) (current ones are very gummed up, after 280,000 miles)

I did a double take at the price you quoted for plug wires, the link says $125, better, but still seems high. I'm pretty sure I paid half that for a new set (v6)

Can't help you out with your questions though.

What performance results do you expect to get from this build? Lots of members suggest that there really isn't much you can get without forced induction (which you advised you are not looking at).

    Good luck.

In my opinion, that's really just an expensive tune up. You might pick up a few hp and get a little better MPGs though.

But if you're looking to get the most out of your NA 3rz, you're on the right track. It's just an expensive and most would say useless endeavor. I say but I may be looking to do the same to my 5vz
