Alright just brain storming and trying to see if I could save so e money and still have my needs covered

    image-23_5c85fadbb1cb64967f5cdc1e611e4e7bd4ac82dc.jpg

With this setup what would be the big loss? Over the other? I don't plan on jumps or anything I just want to be able to fit the big washouts and ruts where I drive a lot at 30-40 and not have a problem would I be okay with this setup? I know the other would be best but trying to keep wife happy she didn't like my other idea as much as I did

A 2.0 coilover isn't ideal....the bigger 2.5 one's are much better. Might as well get some 5100's if you're going that route. Just get the aal and a bigger ext travel coilover for now and UCA's when you can. I just wouldn't fully droop out the front with stock UCA's, otherwise they'll be fine.

The 2.5s are def worth the extra cash

    They're monsters compared to 5100s

If I go with the standard travel would that keep me from needing the uca's? And not having to worry about compressing the front to much and hurting something

Anything above 1500 I can't do at one time has nothing to do with her lol
I can just keep her happy if its not the 2400 of the uca's ext travels ect uca's are what are killing me

Not even thinking about 5100 it's out of the question I want the performance not the lift

Take a look at my build thread. It's almost exactly what you are looking to do. I did mine in stages...though my fronts and rear Icon's were only weeks apart. I went the 5100 route to start with....complete waste of time and money after I experienced what the Icon 2.5 C/O's are capable of. Same with the rear Icons night and day difference from the OME nitro's I had.

I got all my Icon's from SDHQ you will not regret using them!

Yeah I want to use icons I'm just unsure on ext travels or not if I can avoid needing uca's I want to and am in sure on resi rears vs non resi if its going to be a no risible loss for what I am doing .. I don't think it will be but going to check out your build now

No matter what setup it won't happen till the end of the year unless I come across a good deal on here I started this thread and talking to people so I do it right the first time.. Most of what I drive on is like this
    image-21_9b9aea20a18a38423ca67ce7815d4739f061cee4.jpg
    image-20_36808e11ca8ba7cf649c9e4e2dc9fefcc229991b.jpg

    image-24_d3d4322b90ebcc72c96777ec7a33867411ea5418.jpg

I am not sure if you can tell but the holes like in the last picture are what I am wanting to be able to hit and not feel like my trucks going in to a bottomless pit a fe run outs are a little deeper that I want to be okay to hit at 30/40 the deep ruts and hills I am not worried about speed but I am running out of flex (maxed in the first pictures)

Extended travel will add close to an inch of down travel but you can still get standard travel and keep the preload low so UCA's won't be needed and you'll still have SOME down travel. You may just have to keep saving and wait for some used ones to pop up or get balljoints and save like I did. They'll work with ext travel and allow the droop but aren't as strong......I've beat my pretty good and theyre fine!

I really think I'm going to go with the fox2.0 co up front and the non resi in the back with the aal I just don't think I need the added cooling and or remote resi for what I will be doing... I hate to keep beating a dead horse but I don't want to spend a lot more on over kill but I don't want to screw myself everyone running the extended travel 2.5s that I see is jumping and doing some pretty harsh high speed stuff and the fast stuff I am going over us nothing like what I am seeing but just want to make sure I will be okay if I go with the smaller setup.. I could for sure do the fox 2.0 set up by the end of the year the ext travel I would have trouble with finishing the front end alone by the end of the year and have a mad wife..

What kind of reservoir shocks are you 1st genners running for the rear on a 3" lift? I'm having a hard time finding some. I want to just get some in the stock location now, and eventually relocate them with a ubolt flip kit/new shock mounts. I'm planning on doing some Kings, extended travel, up front and, but am having difficulty finding something to go in the back...ideas/suggestions?
