Most unused mods?

Added just for forum pics but seldom used?

Red jack
Fire extinguisher
Snorkel

To name a few.

 

100% its the TRD Factory upgraded skid plate. I've seen very few scratched. (which is fine, but not "used")

 

How about all the highway warriors with lift kits?

 

Winch

 

Roof rack

Useful for when you need additional storage (on a trip), but useless the remaining 95% of the time

 

Snorkel is a set it and forget it deal; some people live in naturally high-dust areas and they'll benefit from the snorkel

But if you live in the city, then yeah it'll only be beneficial in those off-road environments

A remote kit is the only mod listed. Maybe, also a snorkel as it replaces part of the air duct. Most items mentioned fall under accessory/fad more so than a modification.
A mod would be a lift kit, turbo, replacing oem ATF cooler, maybe even new wheels if going larger or changing the offset.

 

I would vote for "fire extinguisher" to be moved from "unused" to "good insurance". I have not needed one. but if the day came to need just a little time to get someone out of my truck or another vehicle, I would rather have it.

Skid plates on a mall-princess can be classified as "why bother?", though.

Very common theme at my neck of the woods.

 

I would say high lift jack. See so many trucks/jeeps with this heavy jack bolted on that looks spotless.

With 2” lift and 33s, bottle jack and a couple pieces of wood work fantastic and is very safe.

 

Well then, I would have to say Throttle Body Spacer because even when it's being used I'm still not convinced it's being used. Haha.
(Bought it out of curiosity at half off.)

 

Alot of people seem to be getting away from the high lift jacks. Except for the pavement queen wranglers at the mall. A couple buddies and I built a crawler recently and we just keep a small bottle jack in the toolbox since a high lift jack doesn't even really pick the wheels up
