So 16x8 (and 17x8.5), 0 offset Motegi do in fact clear the caliper (Motegi told me directly they would not clear the front caliper). So I went with the Method 702. But people here have run both 16x8 and 17x8.5 Motegi 149 or 150 and they seem to fit fine. Nobody has reported rubbing or that any suspension mods were needed. With 17x8.5, 0 offset wheels, most people have no problems with rubbing using 265/70s unless you start going up to taller tires. I like my 702's but still prefer the look of the Motegi MR150.

sorry if I’m not being clear.

Asking if anyone sees any rubbing using 265/70-17’s on 17x8.5 0-offset Motegis on stock suspension
    .

Actual tire clearance, not brake clearance. You seem to be conflating 265/70-16 and 265/70-17, but those are different sized tires (the 17’s are about 3% taller)

When I started this thread, the unknown issue was caliper clearance with both the 16 and 17" Motegi wheels. Now that is a non-issue, this setup becomes just another 0 offset, 17x8.8 wheel, 265/70 fitment. As I said above, there are tons of folks on this board who have had no rubbing issues with this type of setup. But, truck to truck variation (mainly camber settings), and some tire models are oversize for their 265/70 designation can result in minor rubbing (mudflaps/plastic) but it should not be an issue most of the time IMHO. I guess I am saying that you will find people with 17x8.5, 0 offset, 265/70 setups that report no rub and also people with the same specs who do get minor rub. If you want to be sure, the 16" setup is pretty much 100% no-rub.

Well, decided to pull the trigger. 265/70/17 BFG’s on 17x8.5 0 offset MR149’s. Stock suspension, no rubbing so far

Looks great! I love the black on black.

I think I heard mine rub once when I turned into a driveway a little hot, but that was the only time and I’m not even 100% sure that is what it was.

Does anyone here run MR150 0-0ffset with 275/70/17 tires? Any rubbing issues?
Also what size of lug nuts do you use?
    Thank you

0, I just wish there was a little bit of lip on the wheel to give it some depth. Very happy with the performance and value of my setup overall.

FYI: I heard it rub twice on both sides of the inner mud flap while on full turn. Not a big deal to me since I don’t drive the truck as much but removal of front mud flaps would be the simple fix.

Stock mudflaps? I have the rokblokz flaps and have never had any rubbing, but the stock ones protrude a bit more
