Nice ! That looks rad … happy they gave you a great deal.

I’m headed to Canadian tire to get the new ones mounted as we speak.

If I had a set of these mounted on my truck..I'd just request a refund and keep the tires.

Canadian tire is pretty rad company ... im sure they would hook anyone up if they had an issue with a missing snowflake.

Could be an issue in Provinces that require the symbol during winter months.
Could also be an issue with insurance if you told them you had winter rubber, and you get into an accident.
Hence the full on recall. Cheaper for them to just replace the rubber then possible lawsuits and dealing with all that.

    What if:
My tires didn't come with the snowflake symbol (even though they are winter rated) because of this manufacturing defect, ...
... which then caused me to buy four new winter rated (snowflake icon) tires and four new steel rims (for my new winter rated tires).

$1800 + taxes spent needlessly when I could have kept the original tires on year round.

I wonder how CDN Tire and ultimately Cooper will handle this? There is more money involved and due the customer than just replacing the tires.

Reviving this thread after a year looking for some long term reviews on the Eliminator X Trails. Deciding on either these or another set of Falken Wildpeaks. Hoping for to see these on sale at Canadian Tire before long.

I was looking at some at CT and they look pretty good the price is 215.00 a tire. I did see the snow flake on the tire just beside the M + S and the tire sizes Lt 285 70 R 17.

My only experience with store branded tires from that place was bulged sidewall garbage on some winter tires. But that was a long time ago. And I’m not being paid to post on the internet about tires.

The original post was about the AT3's and they are re-branded cooper tires, they are branded as a discount tire in the states.

The Xtrail is an unknown, my neighbor has them and they look like they are pretty good, but the first year is never a great indicator of tire quality.

I'm on my 3rd gear of the MM AT3 and they have been amazing for a 600$ tire. Just reinstalled them today.

I was just curious about them so I checked them out does not mean I will buy them. I never did buy any crappy CT brands. I am a Michelin, Firestone or Good Year they are the only brands that I have experience with so I stick with them, just saying.

They are Coopers , they were flown right to me from the Cooper factory

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/motomaster-eliminator-x-trail-a-t-review.755667/

These X-Trails have by far been the best tires I have ever ran on a pickup thus far , and I have ran just about everything.

I was tired of blowing sidewalls out on Good Years

Correction , I actually made this first AT3 thread because I was so impressed with the OG AT3 tires on my own good will , but didn't see a lot of reviews out there , so wanted to spread the word on a great tire option for a wicked price.

Afterwards, I seen Canadian Tire came out with the new Motomaster X-Trail .. I said what the heck and sent them this original thread in an email asking them to hook me up with a deal on the new ones, and like the rad company they are ... they sent me a set of the new X-Trails for free , and THEN I made this below paid advertisement thread you could say.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/motomaster-eliminator-x-trail-a-t-review.755667/

You would have known this if you read the thread :rolleyes::rolleyes: Its a lot of words though, I get it.

I am quite happy with my Canadian Tire branded Cooper Tires.

Canadian Tire a "rad company" ? Not so sure about that :)
