I've used that oil in my prius, but now it's budding a tiny skid-plate and the exterior panels appear to be magnetically attracted to only monster energy and 4loko cans.

Right, that virgin analysis shows it's in the proper viscosity, passes the applicable tests and has the proper additives... e.g. the manufacturer's not using a falsified label/claims:
"The results of the tests conducted on this sample meet the SAE J300 specifications for the SAE Viscosity Grade listed on the product label, and are consistent with the listed API Service Categories"

Would I use it in a 79hp/L engine (the 3.5) and enjoy 250k plus trouble free miles - Yes.
Would I use it in a 59hp/L engine (the 2.7) and enjoy 250k plus trouble free miles - Yes.

Would I use it in a 100hp+/cylinder track-day car, hell no, at least not for proper piece of mind.

I would steer you towards Havoline Pro DS in the 6 qt box from Walmart. Use the K&n oil filter that they also sell, get a proper oil filter removal tool.

Enjoy andother 250k on the truck

hi mileage it hardly make a difference

sometimes its actually better to continue the SAME oil that has beem used all along

making changes / mixing can exacerbate oil usage

I personally like Mobil1 full synthetic 0W-20. Sometimes I get the extended life 0W-20 if they're out of the normal stuff.

I run M1 Euro 5w-40 summer and will run 0w-40 winter. It has one of the best ZDDP packages available from M1 and the price is great. Even better then their ESP. Recently purchased 6 quarts from Wally-world for $40 with coupons.

The only issue I have with Amazon oil is, if its made by the same oil manufacture all the time, or do they get it from various sources.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20 or 0w30 or amsoil signature series 0w20 or 0w30 is what I use.
Valvoline and Mobil 1 both make a great synthetic oil as well
I’ve gotten great luck out of Valvoline Advanced High Mileage in the past or advanced performance high mileage.
Hotter summer months here in Tennessee I use 0w30 personally

As far as I know they've been sourcing from Warren distribution since the product inception but you can tell as it says on the back label who supplies it. It's the same fluid as Supertech and Kirkland oil. They use a market general product Warren is allowed to sell to anyone who wants it. You could buy some with your own label if you wanted to. And before anyone asks, no it isn't the same as Mobil 1 or Pennzoil or any other big name brand as those are proprietary formulas.
