    That was my point. Not worth the trouble swapping motors. I like my 3.5litre. I just think it could have been tuned a little better from the factory.

    Exactly, if going thru a motor swap, it would only make sense if what you were swapping in has a substantial difference.

    A factory retune would be helpful. Or a retune from OVTuned.

    it (OV) is indeed making a big difference. updates coming will likely make a bigger difference, which i'm pretty excited about, too.

    Underrated response right here. Of course packaging might be an issue because of the fact that you can't fudge the headers (they're cast into the head) but my guess is there's a substantial shared parts bin to the point where you might even be able to plug in a Lexus ECM.

    The best possible outcome would be adding the turbos and packaging to what is essentially the same engine. Although, you might have to change the cams and/or cam actuators to non faux-atkinson, because of the ranges on the vvti that the ECM would be looking for.
