Im hearing a constant tick from around the driver side brake master cylinder, it sounds like a vacum but not srue. Just curious if this is a common issue in 2000 tacoma 3.4 pre runner. 164,000 everything runs great except for this tick noise, dosent sound like it is coming nfrom motor, more like firwall area around master cylinder any info would be great thanks

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Might want to start with brake vacuum booster.

So I have the same thing happening to mine, I have been told that it is the vacuum purge valve, and you are just hearing it working. I get the same sound but it goes away more so when you accelerate. But what do I know I have a 96 3rz, but it is not causing problems.
